Dovecot and Outlook - IMAP Timeout error
Hey guys,
I'm having a problem with Dovecot and Outlook. I'm testing with Outlook
XP (2002), but the problem occurs with Outlook 2003 as well. I'm using
Dovecot 1.0.rc28.
The specific error generated (for IMAP) is:
"A connection to the server could not be established. <servername> is
now in offline mode."
In the details:

How to assign week numbers to a time-series
Hello everyone,
My progress has stalled on finding a way of creating a somewhat complicated variable to add to my existing dataframe and I am hoping one of you could help me out. The dataframe below contains only a fraction of the data of my complete dataframe, but all of the variables. What I want to do is add another variable named 'WEEK' to this dataframe that is assigned 1 for row 1

Dovecot deleting files and directories
Hi,
I?m a new Dovecot user and using version 2.2.18 on an OpenSuse system. In general it all works
quite nicely and clients can connect to Dovecot and manage mails normally. The layout used is
maildir. The users are all virtual, i.e. they do not exist on the Linux system. They all log in
without any authentication due to a very specialized and internal setup.
However, sometimes Dovecot simply

Generating new variable based on values of an existing variable
Dear R Help-Listers:
I have a problem that seems like it should have a simple solution, but I've spent hours on it (and searching the r-help archives) to no avail. What I'd like to do is to generate a new variable within a data frame, the values of which are dependent upon the values of an existing variable within that data frame.
Assume that I have the following data:

abline of an lm fit not correct
Hello fellow
R-users,
I’m stuck
with something i think is pretty stupid, but i can’t find out where i’m wrong,
and it’s turning me crazy!
I am doing
a very simple linear regression with Northing/Easting data, then I plot the
data as well as the regression line :
> plot(x=Dataset$EASTING,
y=Dataset$NORTHING)
> fit <- lm(formula = NORTHING ~ EASTING,
data = Dataset)
> abline(fit)

Asterisk 16 Certified 16.8 and MagicJack Incoming Calls
I upgraded our Asterisk 13 LTS to Asterisk 16 Certified 16.8 yesterday and
converted form SIP to PJSIP using the python script as a start and then
mofiying from there. I ran into an issue when testing that incoming calls
from MagicJack would go silent after about 10 seconds. This happened while in
the automated attendant area. This problem did not occur with Asterisk 13
LTS. I reverted PJSIP

Okay, I want to do something similar to SAS proc format.
I usually do this...

lattice panel question
Dear R users,
How to change lattice panel label/text from the automatically generated
label (based on the conditioning) to our own set of label?
for example:
someStuff <- data.frame(area = rep(c("SOUTH", "NORTH", "EAST", "WEST"), each
= 25),
group = rep(c("A","B","C","D"), each = 5),

Confidence interval bars on Lattice barchart with groups
I am trying to add confidence (error) bars to lattice barcharts (and
dotplots, and xyplots). I found this helpful message from Deepayan
Sarkar and based teh code below on it:

However, I can't get it to work with groups, as illustrated. I am sure I
am missing something elementary, but I am unsure what.

Asterisk and Vonage - Can't call out but can receive calls
Hi,
I'm trying to get Asterisk to connect to Vonage (softphone acct) to allow me to place and receive
calls. I have successfully configured Asterisk to route inbound calls and send
them to the correct extension, but I can't get outbound calls to work. I have
Asterisk successfully registering with Vonage, but when an INVITE is sent out, I
get a "404 Not Found" back from Vonage

Multiple Tinc servers HA cross multiple regions
Hi,
I spend some time to investigate tinc to see how use it, Tinc is really
good.
I met some wired issue, maybe some guys can do me a favor.
In my case, there are 3 regions, and 2 servers in each region, total 6
servers.
each of servers will connect the servers in other regions, but no
connection to server in same region in configuration.

Requesting help with lattice again
Hello, this is a request for assistance that I submitted earlier, this time
with the dataset. My mistake for taking up bandwidth. I've also rephrased
the question to address an additional concern.
I'm working on a windows XP machine with R 2.8.1

factors (Region, Scenario and HydroState).

sqlFetch and factor conversion
R users,
Hello, I used sqlFetch to import a data table from MS Access 2007 and I set as.is = TRUE to
prevent character vectors from becoming factors. However, I can't figure out how to prevent
the $ operator from being added by sqlFetch to the end of each character vector(e.g. TD$ and SITE$).
This causes subsequent parts of my code not to work and also results in some behavior that I

Are the "centos.org" AMIs in the EC2 marketplace "official"? locale breakage in 6.4 AMI
Hi all,
I've reviewed the mailing list archives and it looks like the
"centos.org" AMIs in the marketplace are
really official products of the centos project (whatever that means),
but I wanted to ask explicitly
to confirm.
Presuming yes, I've run into an odd problem with the 6.4 x86_64 AMI (not
updated).

Expanding rows of a data frame into multiple rows
The setup: I have a data frame where one column is in list mode, and
each entry contains a vector of varying length.
I want to expand this into a data frame with one row for each member
of the list-mode column (the other values being replicated)
For example, an example input and the desired output would be:
input <- data.frame(site = 1:6,
sector =
