Add general UPS SNMP agent as a nut client
...quot; get nice graphing of voltage levels and power usage. I really like that functionality and graphing. The setup is working fine by me, but by implementing such a SNMP agent, every user of nut could get the same functionality, and would not be requiring special hardware for doing so. OpenNms can easliy generate graphs etc based on the SNMP MIB file that is part of nut for Eaton UPSes. I think Cacti and other such tools should also be easy to set up. I've written a bit about my setup here : http://www.kanonbra.com/index.php/projects/snmpnms/27-monitoring-eaton-9130-ups-in-opennms The que...

New Xen boot infrastructure proposal
Hey guys, Here are my thoughts about current Xen boot infrastructure and some changes proposal. It is linked with EFI development but not only. Since the beginning Xen image and other needed stuff could be loaded into memory according to multiboot protocol. (e.g. implemented by GRUB). It means that current implementation of Xen takes info about current system config from multiboot_info_t

Vorbis transform description
...MDCT 4) Deduce the desired spectral envelope curve (the 'floor'). This, of course, is the step that includes 'major magic.' 5) Generate a set of LPC coefficients that encode the curve. Transform the LPC coefficients into LSP coefficients (which tolerate quantization more easliy). Encode the LSP coefficients. 6) Remove the floor from the MDCT coefficients and quantize; the result is the 'residue'. On the decode side, the original spectrum is reconstructed by multiplying the floor with the residue. Encode the residue. 7) repeat. Next... bitstream level...
