Asterisk-1.0 RC1
We have officially made the first release candidate of Zaptel, Libpri, Asterisk and Gastman available. While there are still open major bugs, they are relatively limited, and it was time to go ahead and get the 1.0 ball rolling in earnest. ftp://ftp.digium.com/pub/asterisk Enjoy the code. Special thanks to all the bug marshals and contributers and to everyone who has supported Asterisk through the purchase of Digium hardware. I apologize in advance for our slow 768k link. Resuming the discussion of establishing an LLVM code of conduct

How many of these are really in fear, how many are just trying to impose their mindset without actually planning to contribute in earnest, how many are so fearful that they should really seek professional help? > There are many who aren’t responding > because they agree we need one and just want this thing done and > don’t want to talk about it anymore. First Rails project: input welcomed
Hi everyone, I''m working on my first Rails project and I''d like some input before I get started coding in earnest. My previous Web app development experience has been in standard Python CGI and Zope. I''m here to find out more about Rails. I work in technology in an average-sized school district (8,000 students) in Minnesota (USA). One of the problems in our elementary schools (students aged 5...

If you go with your “unnamedfunc” approach, you’ll have to define the semantics of what that means, and it will need to mean something on targets without a PLT. If it isn’t generally implementable, then it is target specific again. I feel like you are trying (earnestly!) to make the IR better here, but by making this abstract it is actually just making it more opaque for no obvious benefit. > Implementation-wise, I imagine we don’t want this as a subclass of GlobalValue. As Peter suggested, this may not eventually lower to a symbol. If it were a GlobalValue...

Another way to show a buyer that you are serious, and to set your offer apart from other buyers?, is to increase the amount of earnest money you put up with your offer. The money goes toward your down payment if your offer is accepted, and is returned to you if the seller declines your offer. (Of course, if your offer is accepted and you back out, you lose your earnest money. So again, it makes sense to up the ante only if y...

I'm a bit apprehensive, as installing a system with a T1 PRI and a couple of channel banks to feed local phones is slightly bigger scale than me playing with my developers kit with one FXO, one FXS and a bunch of SIP phones :-) Asterisk is obviously being used in earnest out there, I've read through the mailing list and seen some of the bug notes - the guy who's running a call centre through Asterisk and wanted to announce queue position and/or expected wait time springs to mind as an example of a real world business using Asterisk on a daily basis, dependi...
