Issues with VANISHED CHANGEDSINCE
I've been seeing the following wonky behavior with Dovecot. Currently this is with Dovecot 2.0.19, but I was also seeing it in earlier versions as well, including versions from the 1.x series. Some background, this is from Horde's ActiveSync library, when it is trying to determine what UIDs have recently been expunged. I can guarantee that when this command was sent, there was

package vignettes build in the same R process?
If I understand correctly, all vignettes in a package are built in the same R process. Global options, loaded packages, etc., in an earlier vignette persist in later vignettes. This can introduce user confusion (e.g., when a later vignette builds successfully because a package is require()'ed in an earlier vignette, but not the current one), difficult-to-identify bugs (e.g., when a setting

read.table( ... comment.char="#") truncated my data
Dear all, I found that the new feature of the comment.char="#" argument in the read.table function truncated my data while the data set actually contains '#'. We analyze lot of data that contain '#'. This is really annoying and it is also not compatible earlier version of R. I searched the R archive and found the following message for the scan function. Is it

"./blah/blah" vs. "/blah/blah"
Hello, Earlier in my rails application, I was using the convention of writing the following to refer to templates and/or views in the view folder. "./blah/blah" But in the Edge rail, it doesn''t work and the page doesn''t shows any output there is no error in the development log as well. But changing the above to "/blah/blah" seems to fix things. Was I

repository of earlier Windows versions of R packages
Dear Helpers, I was trying to find a repository of earlier Windows versions of R packages. However, while I can find the Archives for Linux versions (in the "Old Sources" section of each package's Downloads) , I cannot find one for Windows versions. Does such a repository exist? If so, where can I find it?ThanksJonathan Williams [[alternative HTML version deleted]]

Can sieve filter mail based on emails earlier in the thread?
Basically I want the following scenario: Subscribe to lots of mailing lists - each filtered into separate folders When I participate in a thread (by starting it, replying to it, or ... setting a flag on an email in the thread) - filter into the particular mailing list folder - AND filter into INBOX (or another folder of my choosing) I'm thinking for this, the first two can have rules that

loadhistory() in .Rprofile ?
dear wizards: my .Rprofile has just one command for testing, loadhistory("~/.Rhistory") but this gives me an error on R startup: Error: couldn't find function "loadhistory" Invoking loadhistory() as the first interactive command works fine; incidentally, I believe loadhistory() in the .Rprofile worked in earlier or other platform R releases, too. Is the .Rprofile
