LDAP logonHours problem
...ere is correct. Saturday in the morning, i've tried setting different logonHours attributes on my own account, to see which one shold be 1 to let me log in at that time (between 7h and 8h) Surprisingly, I got this: "000000000000000000000000000000000000400000" Well, it's 6 hours earier than I expected, but OK, let's try this mask: "7FFFC07FFFC07FFFC07FFFC07FFFC07FFFC07FFFC0" It worked in the morning but in the afternoon, it didn't. What could be the problem? My calculations are bad, or timezone problem (Hungary, central european time, UTC+1)? Can anyone please...

ADS Domain Member - getent problem
Hello List, I'm running a Samba ADS on Debian 9, Samba version 4.5.12-Debian. Right now I'll try to add a Domain member - also running Samba version 4.5.12-Debian. Thanks to Loius and Rowland, this howto guided me a lot in the right direction: https://wiki.samba.org/index.php/Setting_up_Samba_as_a_Domain_Member But right now I'll get stuck. It seems that the configuration is ok -

ADS Domain Member - getent problem
Hi, after addidional tests, and following another (earier) hint from Louis regarding his repository I did a quick update (over the old version, quick and dirty) to Samba version 4.6.7-Debian - an voila: After rejoining this new member server to the domain H950 (it was a clone from the original one) this funny peace of software is showing all the users fro...

Added Variable Plot for Cox Regression
Greetings, I would like to know if anyone has had experience creating an added variable plot for a coxph model. This method is outlined - with tounge in cheek, quite rigorously - in Lindkvist (1999). Thanks much, Jarrod Dalton Biostatistician Department of Quantitative Health Sciences The Cleveland Clinic Foundation =================================== P Please consider the

Faster way to zero-pad a data frame...?
Hello List, I am working on creating periodograms from IP network traffic logs using the Fast Fourier Transform. The FFT requires all the data points to be evenly-spaced in the time domain (constant delta-T), so I have a step where I zero-pad the data. Lately I've been wondering if there is a faster way to do this. Here's what I've got: * data1 is a data frame consisting of

Looping through R objects with $ operator and tags
Hi all, Suppose I want to set the values in a column to the log of the values of another column like so: object$LogDist <- log10(object$Distance) How do I loop through the objects if I have object1, object2, etc to perform this function? object1$LogDist <- log10(object1$Distance) object2$LogDist <- log10(object2$Distance) object3$LogDist <- log10(object3$Distance) I was trying to

R annoyances
Dear R Folks, I'm a big fan of R, but there are a couple of things that repeatedly annoy me, and I wondered if anyone has neat ways to deal with them. (a) When using "apply" row-wise to a matrix, it returns the results column-wise, and to preserve the original orientation, I've to do a transpose. E.g. I've to keep doing a transpose, which I consider to be quite

Questions on qcow, qcow2 versus LVM
I''ve been using lvm under centos to create the backing store for domUs and although the performance seems acceptable it has some shortcomings. The biggest of which is the LVM bug which prevents me from removing an lv (it says it is still mounted and it definitely isnt). I thought this was just a centos bug but it appears to be evident in debian and ubuntu too and I really can''t

...lt;ircs://freenode/DV,isnick> used to assemble RHEL libvirt builds for too long, some reflexes persists gwd <ircs://freenode/gwd,isnick> One thing we might want to talk about (maybe on the -devel list) is changing the "binary blob" thing in the CentOS build system to make it earier to collaborate with people who don't have access to the "blob repo" (sorry I don't know the proper terms for these things) pasik <ircs://freenode/pasik,isnick> gwd: lookasides or something gwd <ircs://freenode/gwd,isnick> DV: I'd much rather learn the easy way...
