Hi, the following patches are in the NetBSD packages collection to get OpenSSH 1.2.2 going. Changes: * /dev/urandom may be there but not in the kernel - make sure * Pull in some more headers needed by configure * Add proper ld-flags for ELF platforms * Some code cleanup * Install example files always to a different dir, and use out build system to DTRT WRT getting them to /etc.

More NetBSD patches
Here's a unified diff, proposed by Christos Zoulas (with a little reworking to get the configure.in part a bit cleaner). The main target of the patches are NetBSD compatability, although there are some changes making if (pointer X) into if (X != NULL) as well. Christos also proposed a change to Makefile.in, but I'll send that as a seperate mail. Thanks, David Index: configure.in

off-by-one errors in getnameinfo()
Description: getnameinfo() (confirmed for CVS version 1.14.2.1) does this sort of buffer size checks (these is just two of many cases): if (strlen(sp->s_name) > servlen) return ENI_MEMORY; strcpy(serv, sp->s_name); ... if (strlen(hp->h_name) > hostlen) {

Patches for failing build & bus error on SPARC/Linux
All - For those installs on crusty old hardware and OS releases, here are patches to fix two OpenSSH problems on sparc redhat 4.2 systems. 1. `Old PAM' #defines different - build fails with undefined symbols when PAM used. 2. Running ssh on sparc hardware results in bus error on some connection negotiations. Unaligned data on call to inet_ntoa() results in bus error.

[PATCH] Use canonical hostname for DNS SSHFP lookup
In the current implementation, ssh always uses the hostname supplied by the user directly for the SSHFP DNS record lookup. This causes problems when using the domain search path, e.g. I have "search example.com" in my resolv.conf and then do a "ssh host", I will connect to host.example.com, but ssh will query the DNS for an SSHFP record of "host.", not

Help compiling tinc in Solaris 2.6
I have a ss20 running Solaris 2.6 (and gcc 3.2) in which I want to install tinc. So, I run the configure script, ./configure --build=sparc-sun-solaris2.6 --host=sparc-sun-solaris2.6 --target=sparc-sun-solaris2.6 --with-openssl-include=/usr/local/ssl/include --with-openssl-lib=/usr/local/ssl/lib --with-zlib-include=/usr/local/include --with-zlib-lib=/usr/local/lib which seems to have run

Dovecot 2.3.9 fails on FreeBSD
I'm working on the port as we type. I've already done this patch (will add the comments). [PATCH] Compilation of tftp-hpa's Git HEAD with no IPv6, and misc
This patch does two things: a) makes tftp-hpa to compile on systems with no IPv6 support (there were some IPv6 macros used unconditionally); b) removes a stray binary character, which was annoying. By the way, I see that 'configure' tests for <winsock.h> and <winsock2.h>, but Winsock isn't actually used. What's the reason? diff --git a/config.h b/config.h index

Dovecot 2.3.9 fails on FreeBSD
Hi I've just tried to build the latest Dovecot 2.3.9 on FreeBSD 11.3. Without success...It fails on the following commit which was introduced in 2.3.9: https://github.com/dovecot/core/commit/c85f1bc3ce612c736c9d2c468cc08306db1b5851 Following output is the build log: https://pastebin.com/3nvSeDn8 So I guess it has to do with some changes FreeBSD made: https://reviews.freebsd.org/D18630

cannot compile 4-8-stable or 4-8-test
Samba from git (4-8-stable and 4-8-test) is failing to compile. I did not have these issues with the previous 4-7 branches. Basically this installation is just a simple file server, no domain, ad, print service, etc. necessary or even desired. My configure arguments: $ ./configure --without-winbind --disable-avahi --without-ads --without-ldap --without-pam --without-quotas --without-dnsupdate

patch to support hurd-i386
Hi, here's a patch so that ssh also supports hurd-i386. Thanks for incorporating. The patch comes from Robert Bihlmeyer <robbe at orcus.priv.at>. > openssh 2.2.0p1-1.1 does not build on the Hurd. The appended patch > fixes that. Changes in detail: > * PAM is not (yet?) supported, so the PAM dependencies are only put into > the control file on architectures != hurd-i386.
