Xen 3.2.1 - Win 2003/2008 Server 64-bit guests: cygwin bash builtin "test" crashes
...tly on the hardware.
Tested OS's:
Windows Server 2003 Standard 32-bit Edition
Windows Server 2003 Standard R2 x64 Edition
Windows Server 2008 Standard 32-bit Edition
Windows Server 2008 Standard 64-bit Edition
CPU's:
#1 Dual-Core AMD Opteron(tm) Processor 2216 HE
#2 Intel(R) Xeon(R) CPU E5320 @ 1.86GHz
#3 Intel(R) Xeon(R) CPU X5355 @ 2.66GHz
#4 Intel(R) Xeon(R) CPU 5130 @ 2.00GHz
The problem is dependent on the 64-bit OS / hardware combination. I suspect the problem derives from the way Xen virtualizes the 64-bit Xeons for HVM guests. Exactly how I cannot say (and this could wrong)....

Problems with pci passthrough with Xen 3.4.2
Hi all!.
First of all sorry about my English it''s not very fluid.
I have a small server based upon Supermicro X7DBN (Chipset IntelĀ®
5000P) motherboard and Intel Xeon E5320 (1,83Ghz) with 4Gb of FB-DIMM
RAM.
The OS is Debian Lenny in dom0 (2.6.26-2-xen-amd64) and Debian Lenny
in domU (2.6.26-2-xen-amd64).
Xen is 3.4.2 compiled from sources.
The problem comes when I need to passthrough the second gigabit
ethernet interface to a domU. I''ve got an "pci:...

Many Tx dropped packets
Hi,
I have 3 xen box with 2-3 VM on each.
Each server has 2 nic (1 for external and 1 for internal network).
All VMs are webserver and they mount a nfs filesystem.
I''ve noticed that on each dom0 there are many dropped packets.
Server config is:
1- DELL (2xQuad Xeon E5320 @1.86Ghz - 8Gb Ram - Perc5 - Kernel 2.6.18-6
(debian etch))
2- DELL (2xDual Xeon 5110 @1.60Ghz - 4Gb Ram - Perc5 - Kernel 2.6.18-6
(debian etch))
3 - 2xOpteron 242 @ 1,60Ghz - 2Gb Ram - 3ware raid controller - kernel
2.6.18-6 (debian etch))
This is my ifconfig output for the first server (the othe...

Bug#710522: xen-hypervisor-4.1-amd64: Boot hang with Linux 3.2+Xen, works with linux 2.6.32+Xen or 3.2 raw
...ts properly when booting either Linux 3.2 without Xen, or when booting
Linux 2.6.32 (linux-image-2.6.32-5-xen-amd64 from Squeeze) on Xen.
I tried with Xen 4.0 from Squeeze (xen-hypervisor-4.0-amd64) the behavior is the
same (it hangs with Linux 3.2).
The systems are all running 2 quad-core Xeon (E5320 or E5405) with 32Gb to 64Gb of RAM,
with Supermicro X7DB8 motherboards.
