Help with : telnetd[...]: ttloop: peer died: Success
...activity.
I use the machine as an IP forwarder for a few other machines on a small
LAN. (IP forwarding is enabled)
The Linux was installed from the latest version of Caldera Lite ( a few
months ago) Kernel version : 2.0.33
It is connected usually 24hours a day via a dynamic IP connection using
dynip.com to provide a static address to find the machine.
Obviously I could not use dynip and most likely stop the access, but dynip
has it use for me.

NFS over ssh problems
I've got a setup where I run nfs over ssh on several distros, and it's
been working like a charm on suse, mandrake, redhat 7-9 etc, but I've been
unable to get it to work on CentOS.
First I set up ssh portforwarding using:
/usr/bin/ssh root@<remotehost> -L 250:irc.dynip.no:2049 -f sleep 60d &
Then I mount using the following params in fstab:
localhost:/somedir /somedir nfs
rw,tcp,hard,intr,port=250,mountport=251 0 0
I can telnet to port 250/251 and it answers like expected. I can also see
the packets travelling through the tunnel using tcpdump.

Internal DNS, update of reverse zone fails
...ba version is
samba-4.11.6-r2. I've joined two win10 clients to my domain. One client
has a static ip, the other one was configured to ask my dhcpd-daemon for
an ip. Following the book from stefan kania, I modified my dhcpd.conf to
execute some scripts I've found on ArchWiki to add my win10-dynip-client
to the internal dns server (A,PTR,...) of my samba-addc. It took quite a
while but it works.
My win10-static-client-name is resolved by the internal dns server,
verified with nslookup SOMENAME. Unfortunately the win10-static-client
did not add an entry to the reverse lookup zone, when I add...

Core 2 Duo
Am considering a new laptop, and I wonder if anyone here can share their
Xen experiences with the newest Core 2 Duo CPUs, ref
http://www.intel.com/products/processor/core2duo/specifications.htm
The list at http://wiki.xensource.com/xenwiki/HVM_Compatible_Processors
doesn''t include any Core 2 Duos. Does that mean that people have had
problems, or is the wiki just not up to date?
I gather
