DynExtenDB
I have been fooling around with DynExtenDB and run into two glitches. 1) The code is looking for (chan->dnis) and in my case I find (null). I forced (chan-dnis) to be the same as (chan->exten). So far so good. Now I can connect and talk. This lead me to the second glitch. 2) As soon as the call ends by hanging up, the code issues...

Dynamically setting up/tearing down extensions
...Customers need to be able to change their setups over the web - I want them to be able to do simple things like setting up call forwarding, as well as more intricate stuff that will require me to re-generate their dialplans. Administration of the service is to be web-based. I'm looking at DynExtenDB (and have played with it). I love that it reads the dialplans out of a MySQL database - that is a critical issue for me. But it has some issues. I have a test dialplan with one call to Playback() - just plays a wav file then exits. When DynExtenDB() is called, it adds one extra step that calls...

ATA 186 & DynExtenDB (query extensions vía sql)
...he attended call transfer with ATA 186 using SIP. With image 2.16-1, ATA sens '486 - Busy Here' when trying to transfer the call.. I consulted with Cisco guys and accepts that some problems with this service exist. Soon as I can I will try using MGCP. My doubt now is if somebody proved the DynExtenDB application. I read some commentaries but they are not conclusive. One of my clients wishes to install *, but it makes many modifications during the day, and for secutrity reasons I wish not give to him access to the * console. I'm doing some tests making changes in extensions.conf v?a php scri...

Dynamic extensions without using DynExtenDB?
...to play and it works fine, but I cannot hardcode the extensions.conf file with the new sound files to play for every game. I need a way to create dynamic extensions so when it dials out, it will be playing back the correct sound files for the current game being played. I've looked at the DynExtenDB, but that wont work well because every time a call is initiated, it loads the extension. Thats not practical because if the system needs to call 500 people right at the end of the game, its going to take too much overhead just to load and unload the extension for every call. I am thinking n...

ACD
Good day, Our installation needs a robust ACD application (as I'm sure others do) that can be dynamically reconfigured (if possible) maybe by a MySQL database. I have looked at Bill Heckel's ACD work and Andreas Otto's DynExtendb as well as James Sharp's ACD. None of these seem to be quite finished. Is there a chance a unified (* blessed) ACD application can be put together by those who know how? My knowledge of the Asterisk API is next to zero and the time to learn it would be prohibitivly long much less relearning...
