Van Dyke's Public Key Assistant
Jeff Van Dyke's "Public Key Assistant subsystem" was previously discussed here: (end of a short thread) http://marc.theaimsgroup.com/?l=openssh-unix-dev&m=103436908422003&w=2 I do see a few comments that seem to point out his arrogance and some disgust about OpenBSD's RCSID, but has a...

big packets?
I apologize if I'm missing the obvious, but does anyone know what causes sshd: channel 0: rcvd big packet 32281, maxpack 16384 The immediate cause seems to be van dyke's windows sftp client. The larger question would seem to be why it's using larger packets than openssh wants to accept. (client is SecureFX 3.3, server is openssh 2.9p2) -- Mike Stone

Regression w/ interactions
I have a project due in my Linear Regression class re: regression on a data set & my professor gave us a hint that there were *exactly *2 sig interactions. The data set is attached. We have to find which predictors are significant, & which 2 interactions are sig. Also, I nedd some guidance for this & selecting the best model. I tried the `full' model, that being:

ssh(R) trademark issues: comments and proposal
...provision would not have covered them anyway. Ever since, our policy has been not to allow unauthorized use of the trademarks. The trademark claims have been made consistently in every release ever since. > "no-one has ever been notified of infringement" For example, I notified Van Dyke of the trademark a few years ago when they used the SSH mark on their web site inappropriately. We discussed it, they were very co-operative, and immediately added trademark markings and acknowledgement on their website. Issue solved. (They were not using it in a product name.) 48-hour incompatibility window in OpenSSH CVS Repository
If you have been updating OpenSSH within the last 48 hours from the CVS repository, you need to re-update the software again. Changes to the Diffie-Hellman group exchange that accomodate problems vendors like Van Dyke have seen were incomplete. The current CVS repository has the fixed version. Sorry, Niels.
