...,password=secret My Samba now have to check the auth against a Active directory. Now my question: Do I need winbind on my client? Because, winbind only maps sid to uid and uid to sid. In case of only authentication work of samba that is not neccessary. Or am I wrong??? hi, I'm not sure if this is the right list. my client is sharing a folder via samba (/export) In that folder there is a automount-entry for my usbstick (/export/usbstick) On another host i can mount the export with mount.smbfs As soon as I access the stick (so automount gets active) i cannot umount the share. Get error: device is busy (automount timeout is set to 2sec.) When i never access
