dwm
I downloaded dwm and installed - all is fine. The manual says Once installed, add to your $HOME/.xinitrc exec dwm and it should start when you run startx. I did that - if I run startx this works... however - if I am running X from /etc/inittab how do I start up dwm ? Thanks, Jerry

X11 window title setting in X11() Device (PR#11325)
--=-=-= Content-Type: text/plain; charset=utf-8 Content-Transfer-Encoding: quoted-printable Hi, I think I have found a very little bug in the new version of the X11() device in R 2.7.0, more precisely in the devX11.c file. The problem is that when you open a new window with X11(), the title of the window (the WM_NAME property) is not immediately set. It seems that the window is created, then it

Bug in 0.99.14 mbox handling - mail UIDs are renumbered without bumping UIDVALIDITY
...e that was deleted have been decremented -- and, if you're using a caching client, all of the message *bodies* will appear to have been shifted down by one. Reading the headers in the mbox file directly, Dovecot has renumbered all of the UIDs from 1 to N but not altered the UIDVALIDITY field: dwm at kalimdor $ grep X-UID: Root X-UID: 1 X-UID: 2 [... all numbers between 2 and 161 follow ...] X-UID: 161 X-UID: 162 dwm at kalimdor $ grep X-IMAPbase: Root X-IMAPbase: 1063356421 162 1063356421 == Sept 2003, when the mailbox was first created. This is a bug. Either Dovecot should not renumber...

1.1.3 panics
Hi, Installed Dovecot 1.1.3 today and started receiving panic errors on a few of our users: dovecot: [ID 107833 mail.crit] Panic: IMAP(xx): file mail-index-transaction-view.c: line 204: unreached When I upgraded, I deleted all of our users index files so it started with a clean slate. We are running mbox format over NFS with fsquota plugin on Solaris 8. Here is output of dovecot -n:

Nux VLC gives CLI only on CentOS-6.x
...ayer more often, but I've not been able to find the reason for this not working. Googling has brought me some Ubuntu issues that were resolved with reinstalling, but the only thing I've seen with CentOS-6.x and this is a few years old. Does anyone else have this issue? I use openbox or dwm on the machines, I'm not sure if that's part of the issue. -- Scott Robbins PGP keyID EB3467D6 ( 1B48 077D 66F6 9DB0 FDC2 A409 FA54 EB34 67D6 ) gpg --keyserver pgp.mit.edu --recv-keys EB3467D6

Compatibility namespaces containing a leading ~ appear to be broken in 1.1.x
...t expose the offending commit that introduced this problem, so this bug (assuming it is a bug) was probably inadvertently introduced during the 1.1-development series. Can anyone suggest where in the source tree I should start looking to correct this behaviour? Cheers, David -- David McBride <dwm at tastycake.net>

Light-weight window manager, recommendations
So, I've mentioned that I've got an original netbook, circa 2009, and I'm going to put CentOS on it. 32 bit. Not huge disk, old Atom processor, not tons of memory. Any recommendations for a light-weight window manager? Before I went to KDE, I used fvwm2, and all I'm going to do is use it to read webmail and browse, read news, etc, so I don't need a lot. mark

Door Phone
...the cabling was then patched over a patch panel in a central location (my server sits there); so preferably I would need to used cat5e, since I've already prepared 2 points near my door. My current video intercom would consist of something basic like this [ http://www.swann.com.au/images/hires/dwm.jpg]. My idea is to leave the current system there, but still have audio going to asterisk, and being able to send an open door command from asterisk. Since I'me not getting video phones, I would like to leave the option of the current video intercom as it is. Can someone please point me to w...

Run Command (or option) to disable Wine Title Bar
Hello, I couldn't find any information regarding how to disable the title bar for applications running in Wine, so excuse me if there is already an topic about it. I'm looking for an option, or an command, so I can disable the title bar when there is an application running trough Wine - the title bar is just using my precious vertical space. Any official support, or atleast an

Eve Online, compiz and Twinview
Hello, As a Gentoo user i met an issue regarding Eve Online (maybe other games, I don't play that much). For years, I've been using compiz (0.8.4) to enable fullscreen on a single display (dual display using TwinView), as I have serious issues using xinerama. To do so, I'm using a compiz window rule checking for every EVE titled app. But the trick do not work anymore since wine
