vport0p devices no suitable drver found ..
Hi,
By using virtio-win-0.1.109.iso , it looks like vport0p devices are not configured (on a Windows 2008 R2 guest) due to no suitable driver found ( below setupapi.dev.log):

Activate DVI-I behind KVM on FX 5200
Hi folks,
I don't seem to be able to enable the DVI-I output of an old FX 5200
behind a KVM switch. Autodetection works fine if the FX 5200 DVI output
is switched to the monitor, but when it is not, I have not found a way
to force-enable it.
Here is what I tried:
*) used the video=DVI-I-1:1280x1024-24 at 60e kernel parameter
(framebuffer still sits at 1024x768)
*) used "options

Running LaTeX dvi previewer on MacOS X
Several people have given great advice on how to successfully use X11 on
Mac to so we can use the dvi previewer to view latex() output from
Hmisc. Now after a version upgrade of X11 and X11sdk we are getting
lots of crashes. I noticed a Mac dvi previewer with an executable
stored as /Applications/TeX/TeXShop.app/Contents/MacOS/TeXShop
Can we bypass X11 problems and point Hmisc to this

Well, no banana. Yes, the kernel loads the edid, but the screen keeps
blank if I switch the monitor to the system after bootstrap. )-:

Thanks!
I'm waiting to see if my current monitor actually dies. It's an Asus 1920x1200 monitor that I like rather a lot, but it occasionally acts a bit flaky when coming back out of sleep mode. (The screen fills with a white

those numbers seem wrong to me. nothing I've ever seen uses 17hz or
33hz refresh, its all pretty much 60Hz in LCD flat panel land.

DVI + VGA?
I have an LCD monitor with both VGA and DVI connectors on it, and a
video card to match (both connectors). If I want to switch from the
VGA (currently in use) to the DVI, do I need to do anything special
other than switch wires? I didn't see anything in google that was
helpful (though I may not have used a smashing search...).
Thanks.

Strange problem with dual head on GeForce9600GT (dual DVI)
Hi,
I am using nouveau for some time now, I am quite happy with it. I had
two screens connected with DVI to VGA adapters and dual screen was
working no problem. Today I decided to replace the DVI to VGA adapters
with plain DVI-I dual link cables and found out something strange, the
second screen doesn't display anything anymore, it stays black.
I am using gentoo linux with

Everything working as expected, so shouldn't ERROR be WARNING
I am backing up a user's directories from local machine titan to remote machine
maria. On the remote machine maria file /etc/rsyncd.conf contains
[rprice-home]

exclude = *.dvi
I start the backup by using this command on the local machine titan:
rprice at titan ~ rsync -av --dry-run /mnt/home/rprice rsync://rprice at maria/rprice-home

GeForce 6150SE: DVI-connector not detected
Hi,
today I tested kernel 2.6.33 and it seems that nouveau doesn't detect
the DVI-connector of my GeForce 6150SE (Asus M2N-VM DH).
The screen turns black during boot-process immediately after the "[drm]
nouveau ..." messages appeared.
The board has two connectors (DVI + VGA) and I'm using the DVI-connector
only. Everything is fine when I use a VGA-cable instead.
