Regular expressions in upssched.conf?
...t archive so I?m posting it here.
I want to start a timer only if both of my UPSes remain on battery. Not
just one, both.
My UPSes are:
- ups1@host-a
- ups2@host-b
Is it possible to use something like this in upssched.conf?
AT ONBATT ups1.* && ups2.* START-TIMER onbattwarn 180
Thanks,

Dovecot release schedule
Hello list,
Just a quick question, what is the release schedule for 1.0 ?
It's been a couple (4+) of months now and still no sign of a production
ready version. Is there a TODO list of features not yet implemented
and/or of current bugs?
Thanks,
Adrian

address and thus work around this issue.
In my case, I think the issue is somewhat flaky hardware.
Hopefully this will help you as well.
ps: I am "off-list" but the archives are still quite useful.

POP3 quota trouble
Hi all,
I'm running Dovecot 1.0 beta8 on CentOS 4.3. In the "protocol imap { }"
section, I have enabled the following 2 plugins:
imap_quota
quota
In the "plugin { }" section, I have configured the following:
quota = maildir
imap_quota = maildir
This all works well, and if I use IMAP, Dovecot correctly updates the
maildirsize file in user Maildirs.
However, I need

dovecot-1.0.rc2 hangs while copying to Sent
Hello,
Since running dovecot-1.0.rc2, tbird occasionally hangs when it's
copying outbound mail to the Sent folder. Running beta8 and earlier I
never saw this problem. Anyone know what's up and how to fix it?
Thanks,
Jack

default_mail_env and IMAP server directory in client
Hi,
I'm currently installing a dovecot Server to be a replacement for an
uw-imapd.
I dont want to touch the clients configuration, because I have too much
users...
Situation is the following: the mbox files are in the users
homedirectory (~/MailImap), automounted via nfs
In dovecot.conf I've set
default_mail_env = mbox:%h/MailImap:INBOX=/var/mail/%u
It works perfect without a value

maildir++ quota bug...
Running RC2 with maildrop and MDA:
dovecot writes a positive quota count, then the negative quota count
on messages delivered with maildrop.
For example,
message #1 arrives via maildrop:
4488236 1
message is deleted via dovecot:
4488236 1
-4488236 -1
This does not happen when the user accesses the message, only when it
is deleted.
The user never gets credit for deleting

Problem with indexes
Hello.
Dovecot is really good software but I have one big problem with indexes.
I have server with a lot of mailboxes - filesystem has quota enabled and
I can't resign it from different reasons. When mailbox achieve quota
size and user wants to pick mails via pop3, error "-ERR Mailbox is in
inconsistent state, please relogin." is given. I know it's because
dovecot can't

LDA Problem
Hi
I'm having a problem with dovecot deliver. I'm using a dovecot version
1.0.beta8. As I am using a chrooted (/var/spool/postfix) postfix
(version: 2.2.10) with cyrus-sasl authentification (all working).
Postfix config is changed according to the http://wiki.dovecot.org/LDA:
main.cf:
mailbox_command = dovecot
master.cf:

1.0 RC1 status
Today I finally caught up with my mail. I've now read all the mails from
the Dovecot list from this year and all my private mails from last few
years (totaling around 500 unread mails).
If you think there's still something I should have replied to, please
re-send it because I've either missed it or just skipped it for some
reason. (Except there are still a couple of mails from this

0.99.11 (CentOS4 or RHEL4) to 1.0.rc7 upgrade folder issue
[Sending this again from the email account that I actually have
subscribed to the list - hopefully won't be a dup...]
We have been running dovecot-0.99.11-2.EL4.rpm on CentOS4 (since that's
the latest that ships with RHEL/CentOS) for a while. Aalso in parallel,
we have been running various 1.0 betas and RCs on a different port for
a different set of more test-tolerant users.

quota not working on delivery
Hi, I am using the Debian dovecot packages and the deliver LDA from
postfix, all version 1.0.beta8. My problem is with quota support,
I am using Maildirs. The relevant configuration stuff is included at
the bottom of this email.
Quota support seems to work with IMAP. However, even when IMAP
complains about an account being over quota, the deliver LDA still
happily writes new mail to the (correct)

recent dovecot: assertion failed.
Hi,
today I have built dovecot from cvs sources, and upgraded server from
beta-7 to this newer version.
Then i got problems with opening INBOX using thunderbird 1.5.0.2. The
client says "Opening folder...", then, after about half a minute,
blinking "connecting to the server" and returning to "Opening folder..."
/var/log/maillog gets the messages:
