[PATCH 09/20] drm: rcar-du: Rely on the default ->best_encoder() behavior
All outputs have a 1:1 relationship between connectors and encoders, and the driver is relying on the atomic helpers: we can drop the custom ->best_encoder() implementations and let the core call drm_atomic_helper_best_encoder() for us. du vs df size difference
Hi all, Curious issue.. looking in to how much disk space is being used on a machine (CentOS 5.3). When I compare the output of du vs df, I am seeing a 12GB difference with du saying 8G used and df saying 20G used. # du -hcx / 8.0G total # df -h / Filesystem Size Used Avail Use% Mounted on /dev/xvda3 22G 20G 637M 97% / I recognize that in most cases du and df

smbpasswd doesn't prompt root for password
Hello. When I run smbpasswd from samba 3.0.23a on a MIPSEL system running Linux 2.4.20 as root, I'm NEVER asked for a password. Even when I create a new user in smbpasswd, I'm not asked: root@HD.bei.digitalprojects.com:/etc/samba# strings smbpasswd root:0:AAD3B435B51404EEAAD3B435B51404EE:31D6CFE0D16AE931B73C59D7E0C089C0:[U ]:LCT-44D63D42:

Extremely slow du
Hi I have just moved our 400 TB HPC storage from lustre to gluster. It is part of a research institute and users have very small files to big files ( few KB to 20GB) . Our setup consists of 5 servers, each with 96TB RAID 6 disks. All servers are connected through 10G ethernet but not all clients. Gluster volumes are distributed without any replication. There are approximately 80 million files in

very large difference between df and du (10 GB, hard to believe)
Hello, I have a small server running a tool (RT : perl + mysql + apache) for our support team. I stripped down everything else. The OS is CentOS 4.8. I noticed a difference between df and du which is hard to believe : according to df, I am using 29 GB [root at cedrat-rt ~]$ df -h Filesystem Size Used Avail Use% Mounted on /dev/sda1 33G 29G 2.8G 92% / none

Is this possible to do?
I'm a bit confused if this is possible to do. I would like to write some instructional pages using markdown, here is a short example of my problem. Using LLD to link against third-party libraries? How?
In my code here https://github.com/DragonOsman/currency_converter , I used C++17 and managed to get it to work (though I'm only using std::map::insert_or_assign() from C++17). And I'm using Windows, so I shouldn't use LDFLAGS or CXXFLAGS as environment variables. I'll use them directly on the compiler command line instead. The libraries I need to link against are

SMBCLIENT du, recurse and mask
Recently after installing Amanda backup I discovered that the smbclient du command doesn't really work correctly. If recurse in on, du starts at '/', with recurse off and no arg, 0 is returned. If the mask '*' is passed, only files without a dot in the filename are considered. With '*.*' all files are considered and du sums only the files in the current directory, no

Using LLD to link against third-party libraries? How?
Are you linking with a C++ compiler? A lot of those missing symbols look like they come from the C++ standard library. -David Osman Zakir via llvm-dev <llvm-dev at lists.llvm.org> writes: > @blubee blubeeme So what do you think? Disk usage incorrectly reported by du
I have an ext4 filesystem for which the reported disk usage is not correct. I have noticed the discrepancy after I rsync-ed the content to another filesystem and noticed that the used space on the target is almost double of the size reported on the source. Both machines are running the same software - with the same kernel version and same coreutils version (which I later upgraded to latest

R 2.13.0 on Windows: R CMD check and '"du"' not found
FYI, I'm sure the following is a temporary issue, but in case it slips through, I want to raise it here. On Windows 7 64-bit, running Rcmd check on R devel gives: * using R version 2.13.0 Under development (unstable) (2011-02-11 r54330) * using platform: x86_64-pc-mingw32 (64-bit) * using session charset: ISO8859-1 * checking for file 'aroma.core/DESCRIPTION' ... I couldn't get it to build libcxx... You need c++ and c++abi to compile c++ code.
