VFS recycle - doesn't work for some users
Hi, configured samba to handle the deletded files in the recycle directory. My problem : for some users the deleted files go into the specified directory for other the files are just deleted and no put in the recycle directory. Does someone already had this problem ? synchronise time
Hi, in my logon.bat file i put : net time \\admin /SET /YES to synchronise computer time with the server. This works when the user who is login in has administrator rights on the computer. How can i do with users who are just "member of the domain"? Is there a way to run this command "as administrator" ? Thanks for any help

doc files with attribut r for user
Hi, i upgraded from Debian sarge to etch, so from samba 3.0.14a-3 to 3.0.24 When someone creates/modify a file the user attribut is set to r (instead of rwx) so the next time a user opens the file is's on read only. What can i do so that the file keeps the attribut rwx for the owner ? Another question : the file has the rigthts : -r--rwx--- but although the user is member of the group

Hi, i have samba 3.0.10 installed with LDAP. I noticed few days ago that my adminsitrator account has expired. I think it's because of the sambaPwdMustChange field of LDAP. I changed the passwd now i have the value 1108741705 in it. script in netlogon isn't run

NFS and ACL
Hi, i still have no response for my problem, so i try again in another way. i have a share on with i set ACLs. This work fine. I mount this share with NFS on another server, but the ACL, can't be seen on the NFS side (i use getfacl) Is there a way to keep the ACL threw a NFS export ? Thanks

remove rights on c:\Documents and Settings
Hi, on samba all our users are just member of 'domain user' group. This way gives them limted rights on local workstation, but they still have full rights on c:\Documents and Settings. Is there a way to just give them read right on that folder ? Thanks

how to test membership with samba
Hi, i installed samba 3.0.7 with ldap 2.1.30-3 and idealx-tools 0.8.5 on a Debian sarge. Maping home directories for each user works fine. My goal is now to map a network drive for all members of a group. How to see loging of the user
Hi, i just want to know if it's possible (i guess it is) to see in a log file the logging (date and hour) of a user. I looked in /var/log/smbd.log, nmbd.log, machine.log but there is no record when the user pat (for example) loged in the network. Does someone knows ? Thanks.

error with script on win xp
Hi, i have samba 3.0.7 on debian. My logon.bat script is not run when i log in from a win xp sp1 station. It does from a win 98. When i go on the netlogon share and launch logon.bat i get this error message (translate from french) "\\fs2\netlogon\logon.bat is not a valid win 32 application" (only with win xp sp1). I created a bat file locally on win xp sp1 and run it without
