...struction I added Option "RandR12" "true" to the Device section and Virtual 2560 1024 to the Display subsection in the /etc/X11/xorg.conf file. Putting xrandr --output DVI-D-1 --auto --output DVI-D-0 --auto --left-of DVI-D-1 into my ~/.xinitrc, gives me a nice and working dualhead setup! Great work! Regards, Philipp

Dualhead issue
Hi, my primary monitor is a LCD HDMI2 and the secondary monitor is a CRT VGA1. The CRT monitor is only turned on on demand, but always connected by VGA. The BIOS is shown on both monitors, but the syslinux menu only on the CRT, as long as the CRT is connected by VGA. Even if it's turned off, the syslinux menu isn't shown on the LCD connected by HDMI. "driconf" to try to solve "texture size" problem with beryl+radeon+dualhead+mergefb
As some e-mails ago, I'm trying to play beryl in my laptop. I successfully configured my xorg.conf (thanks to the comunity for the help that allowed me that). The problem: When I boot the laptop without external LCD/CRT, beryl is working fine, but when I boot it with the external, it recognice fine the external LCD and don't want to allow beryl run. What beryl says: === BEGIN === $

KMS instructions
Hello, I'm using nouveau in a NV44 for some time now. I specially use randr in a rotated/dualhead setup with 2 monitors (15' and 19'). In my last build, randr stopped to work. If I change resolution/rotate/span a screen, xorg crashes. I wrote a simple script to update nouveau, build and install. I'm attaching it. Feel free to do anything with it. I didn't find any instructions...

Mouse Leaving Window
...re, I have some problems stopping my mouse leaving the window. It happens in nearly every game i tired (Stalker, Diablo2. Starcraft) but not in Crimsonland. I have no idea what to do. Of course i tried different settings with winecfg but nothing solved my problem. I'm running Debian/Sid with a dualhead xorg.conf. So if anyone got some ideas, let me know them :)

How to set a different resolution?
I just gave nouveau a try and was surprised that it just works out of the box on Mandriva. Great work! However, I'm not sure how to set up a different resolution properly. With the closed nvidia driver, I usually just click on krandrtray in KDE and pick a different resolution. With nouveau driver, though, it works as well, but only partially. I can see the resolution is theoretically

[Bug 17699] New: Xorg crashes when trying to share a VT
...9;m using Kubuntu 8.04.1 (with all the latest updates) and the nouveau driver from https://launchpad.net/~raof/+archive I have two video cards, a PCIEx16 nvidia 6600GT (pci:0000:01:00.0) and a PCI ATI Radeon Mobility M7 LW (pci:0000:07:02.0). The nvidia card is connected to two monitors (used in a dualhead configuration) and the ati card is connected to a television via it's s-video output. Using the proprietary nvidia driver I was able to start a second X server for the ati card on a shared VT (using the -novtswitch and -sharevts options). Now when I try that with the nouveau driver the X serve...
