xvm-gate: arrow keys broken in pygrub
...3 PV domain, and it
has a /boot/grub/menu.lst file. pygrub is used as bootloader.
With xVM 3.1.4, the arrow keys can be used in the pygrub screen.
With xVM 3.3-unstable, the arrow keys don''t work for me any more.
What I''ve found out so far is that:
- gnome-terminal, xterm or dtterm are running with
"vt100 application key mode" disabled, that is, the arrow
keys send ESC [ A, ESC [ B, ESC [ C and ESC [ D
- pygrub is started by xend with $TERM=vt100
The vt100 terminfo entry defines the "vt100 application key mode"
sequences for the cursor keys:

Pretty Log Output on OS X
Howdy,
I am using Apple''s Terminal and Rails 1.0 on Tiger.
I am tailing my log files and it seems with one of these updates things
changed a little. I see all these ''ESC'' codes all over.
How can I make the output prettier? I''d rather not move to iTerm, not one of
my faves.
Cheers.

R BATCH job
Hi
I am trying to run a 'R Batch' job on unix machine but somehow it
locks my dterm window. If I kill the window (or logout from my unix
account) it kills the R job too. It does'nt seem to happen when I run a
'Splus BATCH' command on my unix machine. Can you please give me a fix for
this problem?
Thank you very much.
Best Regards

Patch for hanging ssh-add under Solaris CDE
...hell is actually
write an end-of-file character (^D) to the pseudo-tty, and apparently that
results in a single zero-length read on the other side if it isn't flushed.
You may wonder why the user was calling ssh-add from his .profile; it's
because after CDE comes up the user runs an xterm (dtterm actually) with
"-C -ls", which means a console window running as a login shell, which
executes .profile again, and he goes to that console window to type in his
passphrase. And actually the user was not following the documented way of
using CDE, in that a comment in ~/.dtprofile says tha...

LatencyTop
I see Intel has released a new tool. Oh, it requires some patches to
the kernel to record
latency times. Good thing people don''t mind patching their kernels, eh?
So who can write the equivalent latencytop.d the fastest? ;-)
