Wine shirt
I saw the previous Wine t-shirt, with the drunken penguin, but it wasn't
really me and I don't think there are anymore anyways. For those of you
who didn't know about it, I don't think it was advertised very well
(maybe we should have had a products tab or links in World Wine News).
I started playing with zazzle.com and ideas for a Wine shirt for myself.
Here's what I have so

barplot legend size
Dear R-people,
are there any way to change the size of legend in barplot? I have
tried various versions of cex, both as par(cex.*= ) and barplot(...,
cex.*= ). So long without success.
Sincerely,
Ott

error bar position setting
Hi,
I am using R on Windows XP.
I am using 'arrows' funtion to plot the variance as error bar, BUT error
bar goes only one side of the data point, I need to plot the error bar on
both side of the data point (plot is attached), I am using following
commands to plot,
plot(file3$lat,file3$STotwoKm,pch=21,cex=2.5,ylim=c(-0.2,2.5),xlim=c(-50,50),xlab=NA,ylab=NA,

Puppet in Fedora Extras
Puppet has been in Fedora Extras for the last couple of weeks or so; I
just forgot to post about that. With that, there is no need to use my
personal repo at people.redhat.com anymore; your standard yum
configuration should find it.
The current version is 0.18.3; I just built 0.18.4 for Extras, but it
will be a day or two before it shows up on a mirror near you.

disabling php-cli
...anything on the php site in regards to this. (hoping it's not something
as simple as removing the php-cli rpm, although that just might break a
dependency...
So, if someone knows how to do this or knows of some information they
could point me to I'd appreciate it.
thanks,

Wine release 20021031
This is Wine release 20021031, aka "Hallowine II, the revenge of the
drunken pumpkin". This is still a developers only release. There are
many bugs and unimplemented features. Most applications still do not
work correctly.
Patches should be submitted to "wine-patches@winehq.com". Please don't
forget to include a ChangeLog entry.

Hi everybody,
I am using gzipped files quite extensively and cannot figure out how I

un-install R 1.6 built from source
I have installed R 1.6 for Linux from source, but unfortunately, I didn't
check if the Xwindow headers were available, so I have installed it without
Xwindows capabilities. Thus, I want to uninstall it and install it again
properly with the required features, but I don't know how to uninstall R when
built from source. I would appreciate any help on this. Thanks very much in
advance!

puppet standlone hanging when ran via init.d
Hi,
I''ve just changed my debian preseed configuration to install the debian
unstable package of puppet v0.22.1. As part of the preseed I have a late
command that clobbers the /etc/init.d/puppet file into using the puppet
standalone program and not the puppetd (as this is what I''m using). Since
the upgrade to 0.22.1 every boot hangs during the initd. Going into
standalone mode

cft through changes (new tool based on puppet)
I''ve started working on a new tool that should help with modifying the
configuration of a system under the control of puppet. The tool is
called cft (pronounced ''sift'') and is inspired by Gnome''s Sabayon[1] in
taht it watches how an admin changes a system and spits out a puppet
manifest based on its observations.

Problem Compiling 1.1.1 on AIX
Hi all,
We've been running Dovecot since December '07 with with no glitches.
It's a great solid piece of software, thanks so much Timo!!
I thought I'd try out 1.1.1, so I brought it down and tried compiling
it on AIX, using the IBM compiler, xlc. It's what I've used all along.
The error I'm seeing on the make is:
