results, via xenstore, in the path:
/local/domain/<driverdomid>/backendctrl/vdi
Both driver domain and toolstack have write access to the whole of
this area.

path .../backendctrl/vdi/<vdi> where <vdi> is a string (of
alphanumerics, hyphens and underscores) chosen by the tool...
