broadcastclient does not work on CentOS 4.1
This ntp.conf file works fine under RedHat 9:
authenticate no
#enable auth
driftfile /etc/ntp/drift
keys /etc/ntp/ntp.keys
server 127.127.1.0
fudge 127.127.1.0 stratum 10
trustedkey 1
enable bclient
broadcastclient
However, it doesn't work on CentOS 4.1. ntpd complains with this error message:

Time synchronization issues in Samba 4

that the NTP server does not respond to requests from Windows NTPv3
clients, it only responds to NTPv4.
Following my ntp.conf:

member ntp time sync
On my member server, running 'ntpq -p' yields:
ntpq -p
localhost: timed out, nothing received
***Request timed out
The ntp.conf file is trying to use the DC's hostnames addresses:

Correct NTP Settings for Samba 4.0.6?

Samba4 Windows Client Time Sync Issue
...tup NTP to run on my Netgate PFSense server. It is
using pfsense.pool.ntp.org Time Servers. I configured NTP
on my Samba servers to point to back to the PFSense Server.
NTP on the samba servers have the following ntp.conf files:

...s there something 'special' i need to do in order for the drift to work?

clock skew again

i used every other method including the GUI one where
u go to the system tools and date time and check the
time sync box in red hat ,but it wont work.

system time automatically fowards in time and then comes back to normal

Earlier this server was syncing time through ntp daemon and below is
the ntp.conf file. Now I have set a cronjob which sync the time with
the ntp server every 5 minutes but still the problem persist.
