LDAP Authentication fails with ñ character in password.
Hi Guys,
I''ve got a rails application that uses activeldap to authenticate
users. Its been working great for about 6 months now, but a user from
mexico started using it recently, but can''t seem to login. I''ve
narrowed it down to the fact that his password contains a ñ character
in it. This problem is also present in a test user account I''ve setup.

activeldap
Obviously I am missing something and I don''t know what it is...
I am following the instructions at
http://rubyforge.org/docman/view.php/381/114/activeldap_rb.html
and also here...
http://wiki.rubyonrails.org/rails/pages/HowtoAuthenticateViaLdap
my model looks exactly like this...

[Bug 2011] New: sandbox selection needs some kind of fallback mechanism
...sion than is running on our build systems. For
example, my current setup for uploading to Debian is such that 32-bit
x86 binaries are built in a Debian unstable chroot on my laptop, which
runs a 64-bit Ubuntu kernel. Since Ubuntu's kernel packagers have
pulled in the seccomp patches from Will Drewry, but as far as I know
the Debian kernel hasn't, and the patches haven't quite landed in an
upstream Linux release yet, this means that by default if I build
OpenSSH 6.0p1 I'll end up with binaries that will fatal() on Debian
kernels, which would probably not make my users terribly happy...

activeLDAP - ldap_mapping - wildcard
Hi,
I''ve a problem and I don''t know if it is solvable with activeLDAP. Here
is an example of the tree structure of our LDAP server. The structure
isn''t exactly like that, but is similare and I can already access almost
any informations of a user when I''m logging as this user. The probleme
come when using the belong_to, has_many and ldap_mapping has you will

[Bug 2142] New: openssh sandboxing using libseccomp

libseccomp patch
Hi I've been playing with libseccomp and i think that it abstracts a
lot of the low-level BPF stuff by providing a simpler, easier &
portable API.
The patch is based off will drewry's seccomp patch.
I tested it on my ubuntu box. It's still a WiP.

SYSTR_POLICY_KILL policy) that is, so far, only present in OpenBSD.
I'd like to add specific sandboxes for other platforms too - OS X has
OS-level sandboxing support that looks suitable and shouldn't be too
hard to add. Linux's PR_SET_SECCOMP is too restrictive, but Will
Drewry's patches to extend it to allow a set of permitted syscalls
would make it a great fit. FreeBSD's Capsicum would be another good
target.
In the meantime, I'd appreciate test reports of the rlimit sandbox
at least. It should do no harm on any platform that supports setrlimit().

Net::LDAP 0.0.3 released, adds TLS encryption
We''re pleased to announce version 0.0.3 of Net::LDAP, the first
pure-Ruby LDAP library. Net::LDAP intends to be a feature-complete
LDAP client which can access as much as possible of the functionality
of the most-used LDAP server implementations. This library does
not wrap any existing native-code LDAP libraries, creates no
Ruby extensions, and has no dependencies external to Ruby.
