Possible memory leak in drepl process on RODC
...Server 2019 based DCs in an Active Directory infrastructure. The Domain functional level is 2012_R2 that is also set as ad fc functional level on the SAMBA RODC. The samba version is 4.19.2-Debian from mjts repository running on Debian bookworm. While everything basically seems to work fine the drepl subprocess is constantly growing in size until getting OOM killed by the kernel when already being around 4GiB in size. Do you have any idea how to get to the root cause of this problem or how to fix it? Best regards Bernhard

Samba server services
...services (apparently provided or initiated by the samba binary) documented (preferably concisely all in one place) as to what they do and in what use cases they are needed, not needed, and/or desirable? Samba server services I've manged to locate: smb, s3fs, rpc, nbt, wrepl, ldap, cldap, kdc, drepl, winbindd, ntp_signd, kcc, dnsupdate, dns As I haven't found a documented list yet I'm not sure the above is complete. Some of the services seem self explanatory but others like wrepl and drepl are difficult to find information on as a search brings up virtually every post that contains a...

How do I troubleshoot the DNS service not running with Samba? I've already verified nothing else is running on port 53. I'm running 4.3.11-Ubuntu.

Is this correct? Are required this configurations on 4.10.7? In a few day I want to upgrade this 4.4.5
