DRBD Problem
Hi all,
I've been wrestling with a problem with drdb and centos. I have
successfully created one drbd resource, but when I try the create a 2nd, I
get an error on one of the nodes:
Lower device is already mounted.
Command 'drbdsetup /dev/drbd1 disk /dev/hdd1 internal -1' terminated with
exit code 20
The partition is not mounted from fstab etc and is newly created with
parted after wiping this disk with dd.
On the node with the problem I see:
cat /proc/partitions
major minor #blocks name
3 0 60034968 hda

Centos 4.3 & drbd

kernel.
The problem I have is that on 1 machine drbd works fine, but when I start
drbd on the other I get an error:
Starting DRBD resources: [ d0 ioctl(,SET_DISK_CONFIG,) failed: Invalid
argument
Lower device is already mounted.
cmd /sbin/drbdsetup /dev/drbd0 disk /dev/hde1 internal -1 failed!
It is not mounted as far as I can tell - df -a only shows /dev/hda and
fstab has no entry for /dev/hde1.
I have also tried deleting the partion with parted and recreating it. I
have also tried using just /dev/hde.
The /etc/drbd.conf is:

Command 'drbdsetup /dev/drbd0 primary' terminated with exit code 11
what am I doing wrong?!? the howto shows the disk state as
UpToDate/Inconsistent, which is what I'd expect.
Do I have to use a physical device (/dev/sdb in the example) instead of
a partition?

Newbie questions -- is OCFS2 what I even want?
Dear Sirs and Madams,
I run a small visual effects production company, Hammerhead Productions.
We'd like to have an easily extensible inexpensive relatively
high-performance
storage network using open-source components. I was hoping that OCFS2
would be that system.
I have a half-dozen 2 TB fileservers I'd like the rest of the network to see
as a single 12 TB disk, with the aggregate

samba4 + drbd + ctdb + failover
Hi
We've got drbd going between 2 nodes:)
ATM there is un-partitioned space on each node but (we think) they are
syncing OK. It looks as though it has synced the whole partition (2GB)
from the primary node 1 to the other node:
