Hello Wine Users, I am thinking about buying the game "Das schwarze Auge: Drakensang" (German homepage (http://www.dsa-game.de/), English homepage (http://www.drakensang.info/)). But I will only do it if I am able to play it under Linux. Does someone have the game already and tried to get it running with Wine? Regards, Benjamin

I have noticed that many games (Farcry 2, Fallout 3, Fallout: New Vegas, Drakensang) crash with some form of out of memory messages. So obviously something is leaking memory (whether it is wine or the game or drivers, I cannot say). But it always happens as soon as wine uses ~1.5 GB of RAM. Hi! according to the Wine FAQ DirectX 9 is already implemented and you warn about installing the one from MS. When I try to install "newer" games (e.g. NFS - Most Wanted) the installer complains that DirectX 9.0c isn't installed. The same happened when I tried to install Drakensang. My installed wine version: 1.1.11 Thanks for any advice!

...ying that graphic device is below our min specs. My graphic card is ATI V5250 Mobility and because I'm running Ubuntu 9.04 i can't install ATI proprietary drivers which are not supported anymore with xorg 1.6. So my question is do I need this ATI prop driver or could games such as SPORE or Drakensang run without them. I have MESA 7.4 installed and direct render=yes. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
