Asterisk and Welltech USB SIP phone K1000A
Hi all
I'm fairly new to Asterisk, so be nice :-)
I was wondering if anyone has been able to get the Welltech K1000A USB
phone working on Linux. I see audio and HID drivers loaded when it is
plugged in to my Fedora Core 1 laptop, but that's about all that
happens. I've searched all the usual places (FAQ, Google, etc) but not
found anything helpful.
Asterisk is working fine with

I've been trying to get Samba to authenticate against an NT PDC using a very
helpful guide
(http://www.dragoninc.on.ca/mail-archives/samba-ntdom/2001-11/0159.html).
The setup works fine, and it looks great.
When I type `wbinfo -a DOMAIN+user%pass' it gives me the message:
plaintext password authentication succeeded
challenge/response password authentication succeeded
this leads me to think that it work...

compiling samba 3.0
...9.1 while my slack 9.0 boxes are ok. The only difference that
I think would have caused any problem is that on the slack 9.1 box I installed libnss
from mozilla in /usr/local/ so that gaim 0.71 would compile the new msn plugin. This
problem is not just related to slackware. I found this
http://www.dragoninc.on.ca/mail-archives/samba-technical/2001-12/0264.html post that
shows someone having the same problem on redhat 7.2. My errors are the following
Compiling nsswitch/wb_client.c

winbind: authenticating UNIX user before Win Domain user
We have a samba 3.0.7 server on RHEL-3 (rain) joined as a domain
member (security = domain) to a win2k pdc (clouds) for the domain DOM.
We have several unix users and two Win-only users. The unix users
have matching AD accounts on the win2k, but the Win-only users do not
have unix accounts (and we want to keep it that way). So, it seemed
that winbind would be the best way to bridge the gap:

Winbind + NIS + winbind trusted domains
Hello list,
I need to setup a samba file server with user access from a Windows AD
domain and a separate Solaris NIS domain. All of our users have an account
on the AD domain but only some of our users have a Unix account. I would
like Windows users that have a Unix account to have files written as per
their Unix uid and users that do not have an account to have a uid assigned
from winbind.
