Intel HD4000 IGD pass through appears to work, but monitor complains about 'no signal'
...erent HW configuration the story
is totally different. :-(
My config:
HW: I7-3770 + AsRock H77M-ITX board
Dom0: Debian Wheezy stock xen (v4.1.3) + Debian stock kernel (3.2.x /
3.6.x) 64 bit version.
Note that both of us have only one gpu in the system.
They difference is that the lucky guy has an DQ77MK while mine is an
AsRock.
Another different is that he picks win 8 as domU, while my target is
openelec 2.0, a linux 3.2.x based HTPC distro.
So basically what I can see is a functional domU, almost, I mean.
It does not freeze / lock up at all.
All the assigned devices (IGD, audio, USB) are recogni...

xen EFI boot and vga-passthrough
Hi all
I can''t seem to find any information on vga-passthrough when booting through xen.efi, so I assume it should work. But I encounter a problem on a windows 7 HVM that boots fine when dom0 is booted through MBR but fails when dom0 is booted through UEFI.
My system is:
DQ77KB motherboard with bios version 44
Core i7-3779T with VT-d
Intel HD graphics 4000
In the qemu log it

Xen 4.1.3 running on a Debian Wheezy (kernel 3.2.0-3-amd64 and
3.5-trunk) dom0, xm toolstack and pci-stub were used. Other PCI
devices such as USB 2.0 controller and audio were also passed to the
domU.
The hardware used is the following:
Intel Core i7-3770 CPU,
Intel DQ77MK Motherboard with BIOS 0049 and 0050,
32GB GEIL DDR3 1600 MHz,
200GB Maxtor SATA HDD,
Samsung SyncMaster 940BW Monitor.
This setup is running since August and is used for gaming, namely Team
Fortress 2 with near native speeds.
I''ve posted an HowTo on the procedure that was use...
