mechanize: 400 Bad Request
Hello,
when trying to access a certain HTML-frame, I get:
"in `request'': Unhandled response (WWW::Mechanize::ResponseCodeError)"
and the page returns: "400 Bad Request"
* Why?
* How to solve this?
With browser, it works.
In the logs below, I marked 4 lines with "***", where I see possible
differences in the URI. But I don''t know, if this is

CentOS 6: Yum downloadonly changes local source repositories (and CentOS 7)
...e=package.size,

)
def getHeader(self, package, checkfunc = None, reget = 'simple',
Although newer versions of yum do not rename the local package
anymore, it still does not copy/download the package into the desired
"downloaddir".
I will try to report that upstream.

Opera 7
...mozilla.org, I don't remember the correct address). Is there some
way to locate what causes this problems and to see if it could be fixed
easily?
- when downloading a file, it's first impossible to save it (at least for me).
I have to go through Advanced->save always as->enter my downloaddir, then it
works for that particular file type
- on right click+mouse wheel to change tab the context menu comes up, which
disturbs the gesture
But I think it's great to see Opera running so easy out of the box!
Perhaps anyone has further ideas!

CentOS 6: Yum downloadonly changes local source repositories
...However something strange occurs when one of the repositories to
download from is a local repository, like:
[custom-repo]
name=My custom repo
baseurl=file:///repositories/mycustomrepo/
I added such a repo to my yum configuration and then executed:
yum install -y --downloadonly --downloaddir=downloads custom_package
When executing the above the package in question is suddenly renamed from:
/repositories/mycustomrepo/x86_64/custom_package-1.1-2.el6.x86_64.rpm
to
/repositories/mycustomrepo/x86_64/custom_package-1.1-2.el6
Note that the architecture part and file extension ar...

ctv, install.views, install.packages (& update.packages)
Dear all,
Wouldn't it be helpful if the
install.views
install.packages
update.packages
had a "downloadonly=TRUE" flag which would allow us to download the
packages and install them later (or put them in a USB stick and take
them for installation on anothe PC).
I am behind a firewall (Bank) and I have serious plroblem updating R or
installing views (Finance, Econometrics etc.
