Installing a CentOS based distro with Raid driver - Citrix XenServer
...ation failed because of lack of Raid driver, I found this out because I tried to install XenServer without raid and it worked great. I tried so many drivers, I don't know what to do I tried also this trick : http://forums.citrix.com/thread.jspa?messageID=1456872&#1456872 with this : http://downloadcenter.intel.com/Detail_Desc.aspx?agr=Y&DwnldID=18570&lang=fra driver, but it didn't work (I use the SATA Raid controler not the SAS, so it seems that I have to find the good driver for ESB2 but I'm not sure and it uses megasr driver) Anyone as a clue ? Intel DG33BU motherboard
Hi I've installed CentOS 5.2 (i386) in a computer with a DG33BU motherboard ... When I installed it it crashed because of ACPI issues. Searching Google I found that I need to turn ACPI off in order to successfully install CentOS, which I did. After a while I noticed that because of ACPI is off the Linux kernel finds, initializes and uses only 1 CPU core in the Q6600 quad core CPU that is

RealTek 8168B (Rev 02) Issue
The 8168B (02) NIC works well except that it does not go into promiscuous mode despite advertising itself in that mode after being so directed with ifconfig. Unfortunately, the little box is destined to be an IDS monitor, so that function is essential. The board is an Intel Atom 330 run as x86_64, the nic is internal. We tried three drivers: the one in the 2.6.18-128.1.10.el5 kernel yields

NIC Offloading Confusion
I have been using the built in Xen Paravirt NIC drivers for paravirt networking and had bad performance until I disabled all offload setting on the bridge and paravirt nic (From Dom0). There are 2 related questions I have, where should I be tweaking the offload settings, the Dom0 Physical NIC, The Bridge or the DomU NIC? Which settings in particular tend to cause trouble? (I just disabled all of
