We're running Dovecot 2.0.2 and sometimes a user creates several imap- prozesses, all of them hanging with the UID-command, using 100% of the CPU resources: root at mail:~# ps ax | grep UID 8005 ? hello dovecot at dovecot.org: I want to see the contents of dovecot.index.cache . Is there any command can make it become visible character displayed ? the command idxview can displayed doveoct.index and logview can dispalyed dovecot.index.log but it seems no command to displays dovecot.index.cache for us. thanks amandy

Either I've misconfigured some perm, and am missing it, or new-solr-version v8.7.0 is causing me some grief. (1) Can anyone yet verify Doveoct/fts-solr working with solr 8.7.x? (2) What logging config in Dovecot gets me more/detailed output for the fts_solr fail? (3) Any obvious clues as to what, specifically, is the source of this prob?

...9;re running dovecot-1.0.7-2.fc8. The imap directory is in the user's NFS-mounted /home directory, but doveot is running on the same host as the /home filesystem. There's plenty of disk space and no other significant system problems. The mail index directory we rm'd a week/so ago, so doveoct has had the opportunity to rebuild it. Any ideas on what might be causing this? Is this issue anything to worry about? thanks.

..._USERDB". The whole userdb concept appears to be weird. This could anyway be fixed by giving an error message earlier and failing the login with internal error. Probably the best place to give the error message would be already in the userdb lookup in dovecot-auth, but that would require that doveoct-auth knows if the home directory is really needed, and to give a useful error message it would also need to tell where it's tried to be used (mail_location, or some namespace's location, or ..).
