Monitor Modules
..., monitor_fdpass.c, monitor_mml.c, monitor_wrap.c) I first of all don't understand what these modules are doing, and the parts I do understand don't make sense to me. So if anyone out there could be soo kind to help me out with this issue I would be greatly appreciative. Question about porting SSH
Hello everybody, I am working on a project trying to port openSSH and have noticed that some of the components rely on SSL which is a pretty big program as well. Is there any way to just rip out certain modules from SSL to get openSSH to work with out porting all of the SSL components, and if so what are the only SSL modules I need to get SSH to work properly. Any help will be greatly

what writes to /root/.cache/mesa ?
Dear All, I have several CentOS 7 machines (but not all of them) on which I have noticed that something gets written to /root/.cache/mesa every so often (once every several days). It is my understanding that mesa is related to GUI (X11), but on these machines (on neither of my machines, actually) root never logs in to GUI X11. I may have remote root logins with Xforwarding though. Hence my

cisco poe
I know this is on the wiki, I just want to confirm so I don't blow up my cisco phones. I've got several cisco 7940's all running using cisco power cubes. However, my boss wants me to switch just a few over to poe, but doesn't want to fork out the dough for a nice cisco poe switch, or anybody else's poe switch for that matter. So my question is, what is the '99.999%

nmbd woes (still)
Ok I've fed this problem with about five hours of my time to post to a list about it. nmbd does not appear to be doing what it should. Why I'm not certain. The unix host (running samba) is not appearing in on the windows browse list (i.e. it's not showing up in the network neighbourhood). when I run nmbd with -d2 I get the following: Netbios nameserver version 2.2.8 started.

Yes this scenario works on my 2 systems which are at LAN. I made one system as server (192.168.0.20) and registered from other system... it is fine but now there is a different scene. actually there is a registered user named abc at system1 (192.168.0.20) having context [payasyougo] which is used to do outbound calls. we want to use this user's context and account so that when we register

Re: vnc client for libvirt from os x?
os x comes with openssh, and some other nixy goodness. the rest you can get at brew.sh. when i ssh -Y into the host, ill just virt-manager or virt-viewer, but the x server on os x comes with some baggage and silly annoyances like "helpfully" trapping the mouse with a release combo thats hard to deal with from os x. running a vnc client over os x would still come with baggage and

Mongrel Pre-Release 0.3.13 -- Katana Suicide Concurrency
We are *days* away from the official 0.3.13 release, which will be followed quickly by 0.4 code named Enterprisey Edition 1.2. This latest pre-release update closes off the last of the annoying bugs, and adds one very nasty feature people should check out before we release. Read about Katanas below. ** This release doesn''t have win32 yet. That''ll be uploaded Monday. ** WHAT

cannot rsync when source directory lacks write permission
I seem to be running into a problem where I am trying to rsync from a source directory that lacks write permissions (i.e. r-xr-xr-x). Presumably this is because rsync creates the directory on the destination, then sets the permissions to match the source and then tries to sync the contents of the directory, which it cannot of course lacking write permission in the directory. Is there a way to

[PIMP] Topfunky''s httperf PeepCode screencast (Zed A. Shaw)
Hi, Thanks Zed - this is very interesting. One item in particular caught my eye: Does anyone on this list have any comments or validation that Rails 1.2.1 is 2-4 times as slow as Rails 1.1.6? Topfunky provided a link that purports what looks like really horrible performance and memory characteristics for Rails 1.2.1, even v. 1.1.6:
