ups.delay.shutdown clarification
...assuming it is this setting that caused the
immediate shutdown? Today, the UPS shows a load of 35, via the upsc
command, so it doesn't appear it was overloaded.

Unable to save files to share
...st: request [d87c4e80, mid=399] timed out!
Reverting the kernel back to the previous version is a temporary
workaround; however, I'm looking for a resolution, and would appreciate
any assistance.

Question about Tripplite SU10KRT3U
Hello list! I can't seem to get this running via RS232 monitoring; I've
been told that NUT won't support serial connections, and find this hard
to verify. Does anyone else have this running on the SU10KRT3U via
RS232? If so, what driver did you use? I'm getting no satisfaction from
the "tripplite" driver; upon upsdrvctl start, I get "Failed to find UPS
- giving

Temp fix for users getting smb_trans2: invalid data in messages log file
Hello all,
I was having this problem and finally found a temp fix for it. The symptoms
seem to be this:
--> You are on a linux client
--> You have mounted a samba drive from you linux client to a linux server.
--> When you try to make modifications or copy file from your client to the
server, it takes a long time or times-out.

Problems printing from Windows 2000
I run a small network at home, with a Linux server, which shares files
and a printer. I also have a Linux PC (RH 9, KDE 3.1, CUPS 1.1.17) from
which I am trying to share a Lexmark 3200 inkjet.
Samba (2.2.7a-security-rollup-fix) seems to be generally configured OK -
I can print to the Lexmark from a Windows 98 system, and from another PC
