Samba as PDC in mixed XP/98 Client base
I?ve gotten a basic Samba 2.2.7a setup working as a PDC for Windows 98
without too much hassle (once I read the friendly manual it was easy!).
However, when I try to log onto the domain from XP Pro, the user
receives an ACCESS DENIED message. The docs and books I have don?t
mention XP at all so if anyone has any ideas on what?s going on (i.e.
they have fixed this issue) OR perhaps it?s some M$

people, including many systemd-doubters or haters, would not object to this.
He is not, however, saying that systemd will be used on BSD. He's just
saying that the principles of system/service management are good ones
and that software other than systemd could implement them. And that's
exactly what a lot of systemd's critic...

creating a fast ZIL device for $200
Recently, I''ve been reading through the ZIL/slog discussion and
have the impression that a lot of folks here are (like me)
interested in getting a viable solution for a cheap, fast and
reliable ZIL device.
I think I can provide such a solution for about $200, but it
involves a lot of development work.
The basic idea: the main problem when using a HDD as a ZIL device
are the cache flushes
