Okay, I think this somewhat of a windows error and has nothing to do with wine errors but I am having trouble setting permissions in the registry using wine. I am trying to install dotnet30 however it gets a windows error and asks if I want to send report or not. I found this thread http://geekswithblogs.net/TimH/archive/2006/11/17/97385.aspx So I went into the registry found the file and right clicked to set Permissions....but it wasn't there. when I go to install dotnet3...

When installing mono2.6 alone, Solidworks complains about WPF missing. So : 1 - Does it makes sense to install dotnet30 for another purpose than making installers happy ? 2 - does installing dotnet30 with mono 2.6 makes sense in this case ? 3 - is there a way to prevent it from making SolidWorks unuseable ? I did however install IE6 using winetricks, as I did on my previous system, which solved my install problems last time around. Also using winetricks, I've installed MFC42, vcrun6sp6, and dotnet30. I saw some complaints during one of the installs that SSL will fail because gnutls was not installed, so I installed that using MacPorts. Any pointers on this one? ...read with disbelief on the Dragon Age wine appdb page that people actually have working dlc in Dragon Age Origins. This flies in the face of absolutely everything I've seen in my experience with the game. Writers Blocks has issued a new version. Version 3 ran with winetricks v6run and mfc40 But it appears that Version 4 needs something else. I tried it with the above, I tried it with all the mono versions, but installed mono after I installed the program. wine: Install Mono for Windows to run .NET 2.0 applications. And ideas? There is a free trial version on the web site.

Given Sony Vegas 10, Platinum HD, is very similar to vegas 9.0., it is possible. With some winetricks surely.
