Samba and Active Diectory
problem:
I wish to implement samba on a solaris 8 with authentication from a win2k
active directory server.
I wish to have user dorectories mounted to AD server via samba and
authenticated via AD.
Anyone knows an easy/doable way to do this?

When using Network neighbourhood, we do see the samba share. When clicking on
it, it prompts us for 'Connect as' and 'password'. When entering the unix login
and password, it returns an error message ' \\SambaServer\\share is not
accessible; the account is not authorized to login from this station'.
I have atached the smb.conf file. Thankyou again.

Loading user defined functions autometically each time I start R
Hi all,
I wrote some user defined function for my own. Now I want to get a mechanism
so that every time I start R, those function will automatically be loaded in
R without manually copying pasting. Can gurus here pls tell me how to do
that? Or I have to build my own packages bundled with those functions.
However I am not familiar in writing R package yet.

Home directory filled with junk
Hello!
I'm having a problem, and I haven't got a clue why it has happened.
In my homedirectory (as well as everyone elses) empty directories are
created with named for example: "arbst-.6Gp7e1" all the dorectories it
creates start with "arbst-."
and thats also the name all the clients have (arbst-06 for example).
Why does it create these directories and how do I make it stop creating
them?
I'm attacthing the result of testparm.
Thank-you!
