Donations to Xiph
I have a few thoughs and questions about donating to Xiph that I hop you have a minute for. Here we go: == "Who donated what" list == As it seems we don't have a "Who donated what" list. I thought creating such a list could increase motivation to donate to some parties. What I currently have in mind would be to start l...

Trouble getting select to work
...', ''category'', @categories = Category.find(:all, :order => "category").map {|cat| [cat.category, cat.category]}) %> I used [[cat.category, cat.category] as I am not interested in the id and want both values to be equal to the category itself. This form is a Donation form. One of the fields in the donation record is a category. The database does not relate these two tables. What I want to do is simply populate the dropdown category box from the categories table and allow a category to be selected and that category be populated to the donation record. In...

voip-info.org unreliable lately?
Anyone have any insight as to why voip-info.org has been up and down all day, and more importantly unreliable for the last month? I assume the bandwidth is being donated or something, but surely someone would be willing to donate reliable bandwidth as the knowledge hosted on the site (which is also donated!) is worth way more than the bandwidth. There is no doubt it is the best documentation that exists on *, but only when accessible. Gripe, gripe, gripe....

Donation programme
Is there any decision about the donation programme? The Web page still says: "If you are looking to make a cash dontation to the CentOS Project, please check back here after August 15th, 2009." I assume that donations aren't refused, but is there a suggested amount, as there used to be? -- Yves Bellefeuille <yan...

centos friends?
Hello All, I want to ask about CentOS and money. Please do not start some kind of shitstorm over this, it isn't productive. I have just been looking at archive.org to see when the paypal option went missing from the donate menu at centos.org. I can't pin it down, but it was there on October 16, 2010 and isn't now, so that's the information I have on that point. There was a great deal of argy-bargy on this list when the 5.6 update was slow arriving. I don't want to go there, I was happy to see it...

Make a donation via PayPal? (was: [R] Monetary support to the R-project)
Dear R developers I understand that this is not a proper r-devel message, but it still touches to the organisation of the R project. I would like to make a small donation to the project, but I am not comfortable with sending my credit card details via post or mail and, as echoed elsewhere on r-help, would prefer to go through a generally accepted service such as PayPal. Would there be any interest from the R project to implement this? Thank you Liviu On 3/8/1...

Donating
I've never really liked all these donation buttons in web pages, or receiving donations at all, but as some extra money could make my life easier in the next few months, I thought I'd give it a try. http://dovecot.org/donate.html (And if you're wondering how I could still promise those 1000 euros for a security hole, I've a...

How to send in donations via check? and some other suggestions.
Greetings. I have just successfully updated a RH-9 file server to CentOS-3.1. I'm VERY impressed. I have a client who has 4 Redhat servers (1 x 7.3 and 3 x 9.0) that I would like to migrate to CentOS-3.1. Question: My client is willing to send a donation for these boxes but they just want to send you (caosity.org) a check that will cover the next couple of years. Who do we make the check out to? Where do we send the check? And if a bulk donation via check is OK, then please publish the payee information on the website. Another suggestion....

R Founding
...n. In my opinion the main reason for the lack of funding is that the Foundation does not want to accept it from users and waits for the likes of Google to bring them a sack of money. I have already posted about this, but this seems to be the time and place to repeat it: it is very difficult to donate anything to the R-Foundation. First you have to find the appropriate link at the r-project page, then you have to fill out a form and send or fax it to the Foundation. I am not comfortable sending my details over snail-mail or fax. I would GLADLY donate 30-50$ each year just to see R develop...

Donation to the FLAC development project
Hi, I have a legitimate request for information about how I can contribute to the development of FLAC. I am not a developer, but would like to make a financial contribution. FLAC has immensely enhanced my enjoyment of music. Please let me know if this is an inappropriate forum for this request. Please respond. Thank you. CentOS 5 is done, now it's time to donate!
CentOS 5 is great! Job well done! Please *consider* making a donation to the project, if you can, to reward the developers and keep them motivated. That way we can be assured of getting CentOS 6! I used the "Donate Now" link on the CentOS home page -- it was really easy! -Jim

how do I donate resources to xiph.org?
...org yesterday (as instructed on the www.xiph.org web site), but I have not received any reply. So I'm trying vorbis-dev list. I've joined the list only a few weeks ago as soon as I became aware of the project. I searched through your web site, but I could not see any instruction on how to donate resources (money, hw, etc.) to the project. Can you add such instruction on your web page (names, addresses, phone numbers)? Also I would feel comfortable donating if some information regarding the people responsible for the project is provided on the web site. Thanks. --- >8 ---- List archi...

NVidia Hardware Donation possible
Hi, I talked to our IT guy over lunch. He thinks there is an old GT630 with 384 shaders somewhere. The 384 shader GPU is the GK208. Given we can find it and it is obsolete, I probably can donate this one too. Let me know if you are looking for this one. Google Ads in the Wiki
A fairly serious question: how much can we (as users) donate to get the Google ads off the Wiki? I guess this does not give so much revenue, and it is really distracting. So, if we can match the annual income of Google Ads on the Wiki, I think I (and others) are willing to compensate this with donations. I have seen some potential Dutch users getting t...
