I've spent the last 2 days trying to get smbfs to mount via fstab. Using redhat 7.3 and the latest samba as of 7/17/02. I have estimated a multiple nonparametric regression using the loess command in R. I have also estimated an additive version of the model using the gam function. Is there a way of using the output of these two models to test the restrictions imposed by the additive model?

Hi, Newbie question: I've installed samba_2.2.5 and it works great, got winbind working have convinced boss types that it's a viable alternative to Windows for some filesharing, however I originally did the configure and make without specifying smbmount be included in the build but with some other options, inlcude winbind and pam. If I run ./configure --with-smbmount and do a make etc.

I have included the first five hundred bytes of the file. The whole file is just 8KB so I could email it if neccessary. Dear all, I'm trying to make winbindd working without much success. I would like to set my linux box as a samba PDC and as winbindd host with some win2k workstations. I'm using mdk 8.1 and have installed the corresponding rpms (samba-2.2.2-6 by cooker). I followed howto and samba doc to set the pdc and it works. Is there a way to configure Samba so that all password authentication is done through the Windows domain controllers? As I understand it, the variable "encrypt passwords" must be set to yes if "security" is set to "domain".
