Xen 4.0.1 HVM 2008R2 Citrix PV Drivers
I have been google for a few days now trying to get the Citrix PV Drivers to work on a server 2008 R2 HVM guest. I get the machine up and running then I install the cirtix PV drivers. I have tried both making and not making the registry change. Once I reboot the server I get stuck at the boot screen. The xen log says: XENUTIL: WARNING: CloseFrontend: timed out in

Mapping hvm guest pages in Dom0
hello, I would like to map (Read/Write) pages owned by a HVM guest from my Dom0 Linux kernel module. I have access to the "machine frame numbers" of these pages. 1. What is the right interface to do this? kmap needs ''struct page'' ptrs which I doubt exist for pages owned by a HVM guest. Is there a hypercall to do this then? 2. Do I need to modify the HVM behavior in

Automatic vncviewer startup
...tack I could use "xm create domain.cfg -vncviewer" or something similar (if I''m not wrong), but I don''t know how to do it with the xl toolstack. At the moment, I have to create the domain using xl create domU.cfg, then xl list to see the domU id and then xl vncviewer <domU_id> to start vncviewer. Is it possible? By the way: does the analogue of ''xm new domU.cfg'' exist in the new xl toolstack? -- Flavio _______________________________________________ Xen-users mailing list Xen-users@lists.xensource.com http://lists.xensource.com/xen-users

Is the VNC setting available for non-hvm DomU''s?
...to a vanilla (non-hvm) DomU using the VNC console setting? On an FC5 (2.6.16-1.2080_FC5xen0) kernel deployed on vanilla (non-hvm) hardware, setting VNC=1 for a DomU doesn''t appear to work. ''Connection Refused(111)''. I am using ''vncviewer <dom0_ip>:<domU_id>'' to connect. Any thoughts? Also, if there is a definitive howto/guide/man-page/doc/wiki on the frambuffer related config parameters (vnc, vncviewer, vnc, stdvga, etc) and their usage semantics, I''d greatly appreciate a pointer. Thanks in advance. ________________________...

Bug#1042842: network interface names wrong in domU (>10 interfaces)
Package: xen-utils-4.17 Version: 4.17.1+2-gb773c48e36-1 Severity: important Dear Maintainers, On one of our domUs we discovered that the network interface names were wrongly assigned since recreating the domU after an upgrade to bookworm. If over 10 network interfaces are configured the mapping (dom0) vifX.10 <-> eth10 (domU) does not apply anymore. Instead the interfaces on dom0 are
