...ainname is configured then puppet gets it from /etc/resolv.conf. Even if the "search" line is commented. I had to delete the search line in resolv.conf to obtain a signature request with hostname only, and then it appears with a final dot (hostname.). Is it that puppet does not like being domainless ? Many of my pc''s don''t have a domain and I prefer to send only a hostname to identify them on puppetmaster, it''s a bad idea to do it this way? Thanks, Lluis
