Samba 4
...where do I start? I've download the debian experimental Samba 4 TP1 package and installed it. The debian installer did the provisioning and I've set up dns. I set up a share and it all seems to work fine with the built-in administrator account. But what now? how do I join computers to the domaind? Do I still need something like nss/pam ldap to enumerate UNIX users? how do I manage the directory? How do I login to the directory with generic directory browser. eg. what would then DN be? Is SWAT operational at this stage? How would I go about accessing it. Or am I missing something obvious??...

Reserved Memory release
I had temporarily started a VM, and it has allocated the memory for it. I have realised that after turning it down, the memory allocated to it, has remained reserved. Now, I need it for Dom0. So, how do I release the RAM that is reserved for VM, and make it available to Dom0? Is reboot the only option? _______________________________________________ Xen-users mailing list

Samba firts DC fail over
Hello, I am currently testing for Samba4. The creation of the domain and the secondary Dc implementation works well. But by performing tests for a fail over situation I realized that when the DC that created the domain is in fail over the linux client machine can no longer retrieve the list of users from the domain. I would like to know if a person has already faced this situation and if so how he

User Permissions issue
Hi Denis & Rowland Thanks for the suggestion to trim the smb.conf after which the DC-1 is connecting to the Windows Server 2008 shared folder smbclient -k //IUMSVRAPP01/Pastel12 -d 9 and DC-2 is also connecting after using the DNS name of the Windows server. *You'd better switch your DNS to Bind-DLZ. Internal DNS is not that good for larger site (looking at your DNS domain name, I guess
