tdbsam to ldapsam
...sword backend.
What I've done so far:
1) Created the openldap bdb and the dc=domain,dc=com base and the admin
with password.
2) Run the command, smbpasswd -w <password>
QUESTION: What user is this going use and how to set?
3) Created the openldap ou=domainUsers, ou=domainGroups, and
ou=domainComputers
QUESTION: How do I export my data to and ldif file or directly to the
dbd and how will know what my dbd tree structure is?
4) I have run the command, pdbedit -i ldapsam:ldap://domain.com but and
get credential error (relates to 2 above).
QUESTION: In order to use group data in backend, do I need...

Samab DC's not syncing
Hi,
I am running a Windows Domain based on 2 Samba AD servers. The setup is
running mostly fine but I have the impression that the 2 DC's are not
syncing their information. For instance:
- I added a Windows pc to the domain last week, when I started 'Active
directory users and computers' today on a windows pc I could not see that
pc, after rebooting one of the DC's the pc

domain admin
...rs to the Domain admin group ?
I use FreeBSD-5.1+samba3.0RC3.
My group maps:
Admins du domaine (S-1-5-21-xxxx-512) -> domainadmins
Utilisa. du domaine (S-1-5-21-xxxx-513) -> domainusers
Invites du domaine (S-1-5-21-xxxx-514) -> domainguests
Ordinateurs du domaine (S-1-5-21-xxxx-515) -> domaincomputers
All my users sambaPrimaryGroupSID are set to 513. Now, I added some
users to the "domainadmins" group (with the memberUid attribute in LDAP)
but they do not get admin priviledges on NT workstations...
What am I missing here ?
I also added "@domainadmins" to the "user adm...

Machine account in smbpasswd is wrong
Hallo,
I can't join a win2K machine on my domain.
I create the machine account dynamically in my smb.conf by the following line:
add machine script = /usr/sbin/useradd -d /dev/null -g 200 -s /bin/false -M %u
Now a machine account is created and added to my users (this part works ok)
Samba also generates a machine account for samba (I could not find a line for that in my smb.conf)
But the
