As another example, initDomain() already has some architecture hackage
in it for memory allocation. We think we''ll need to modify that some
more in the future for PPC, possibly even changing the "order" argument
to xc.domain_memory_increase_reservation().
Rather than having these inline tests everywhere ("if os.uname()[4] in
(''ia64'', ''ppc64''):"), would it make more sense to have some sort of
"architecture" object, and do things like:

[PATCH][XEND]Fix memory allocation for VTi domain with new Qemu on xen-unstagle.hg
Due to IA64 balloon driver not ready and it depends on max memory value
to allocate its memory. So this fix is necessary now.

[PATCH] 0/2 VCPU creation and allocation
I''ve put together two patches. The first introduces a new dom0_op,
set_max_vcpus, which with an associated variable and a check in the
VCPUOP handler fixes [1]bug 288. Also included is a new VCPUOP,
VCPUOP_create, which handles all of the vcpu creation tasks and leaves
initialization and unpausing to VCPUOP_initialize. The separation
