[PATCH] add dom0 vcpu hotplug control
This patch adds new control messages for vcpu hotplug events. Via the
xm vcpu_hotplug sub-program, VCPUS in domains can be enabled/disabled
when CONFIG_HOTPLUG_CPU is enabled in the target domain''s kernel.
Currently there is nothing that tracks whether a VCPU is up or down.
My previous [1]patch added a new per-VCPU flag (VCPUF_down) which could
be used to keep track of which VCPUS are

mySQL 5.0 upgrade - incompatible DateTime format?
I''ve upgraded to mySQL 5.0, and it''s gone pretty smoothly except that on
DateTime.now doesn''t seem to return a value that mySQL likes any more,
as seen in the following exception:
Incorrect datetime value: ''2005-11-20T15:33:12-0800'' for column ''logged_at'' at row 1: UPDATE notes SET `due_on` = ''2005-11-20'',

smbwrapper or smbmount ?
Hi !
The O'Reilly "Using Samba" book, recommend not to include smbmount
support as it is for Linux only:
"This feature wasn't being maintained at the time the book was
written, so the Samba team made it an optional feature and provided
smbwrapper instead. The smbwrapper feature works on more Unix
platforms than smbmount, so you'll usually want to use

"net rpc rights" commands. Connection always fails
Windows 2012 R2 domain at highest level and one rhel6.5 samba server(3.6)
Been throwing everything at this for the last few days. I can join to the domain and create ACL enabled shares but this one command I am struggling with.
$ net rpc rights grant 'BES\Domain Admins' SeDiskOperatorPrivilege -Uadministrator
Enter administrator's password:

smbmount and win2k permissions

smbmount works fine :
$ smbmount //DOMAIN_controler/sharedir /home/toto/smb -o
credentials=/home/win2k/DOMAIN/toto/.smbpw,uid='DOMAIN+toto',gid='DOMAIN+Domain
users',fmask=664,dmask=775
The user toto is a domain user authenticated from the Win2k server.
I can then see that toto owns all files and directories

smbclient kerberos issue
Running Samba 3.2.3 on Debian Lenny, amd64.
I'm joined to an AD realm, authentication works fine for Windows
clients. I'm able to see that the clients are using Kerberos, not NTLM
to authenticate to the shares. However when I look at the keytab, my
entries have the short names like "service/shortname@REALM" instead of
"service/fqdn@REALM". Looking at Windows servers on

need help running samba 3.0.11 with security=domain (again)
My original post didn't seem to work properly - so I am trying again ...
I am having problems getting security=domain to work properly with Samba
3.0.11 (this seems to be the recommended configuration for the
application which I use - ClearCase)
We are running on a Solaris 10 server.
We created a machine account for the server and then ran the command to
join the domain :
net rpc join -S

Joining Samba4 to existing AD
Hi,
I have followed this guide on the wiki
https://wiki.samba.org/index.php/Joining_a_Samba_DC_to_an_Existing_Active_Directory,
in
order to join samba to an existing Active Directory.
I'm using CentOS 7, using Samba 4.6 and compiled from source.
So the thing is that I'm stuck on step

Joining Samba4 to existing AD
Hi,
I tried with the latest stable 4.5.x, but with no success.
Do you think you could share your smb.conf ? and also how you built from
source?
I suspect there's something missing in the KRB5 for Samba (due to KDC error
messages).
Thanks in advance!

Samba 1.9.18p10 released.
The Samba Team are pleased to announce Samba 1.9.18p10.
Note that the 1.9.18p9 code was not distributed due to a
problem discovered during the final QA testing phase. However,
in order not to allow any confusion about versions the Samba
Team are upping the patch revision number to ensure we can
identify a particular release of code exactly.
It may be fetched via ftp from :
