Documentation: Was -- identical() versus sapply()
...re there's low reward for high effort, particularly for volunteers. Moreover, like many volunteers, I'm happy to do some work, but I need ways to contribute in small bites (bytes?), and it is difficult to find suitable tasks to take on. Is it worth an experiment to customize something like Dokuwiki (which I believe was the platform for the apparently defunct R wiki) to allow a segment of R documentation to be reviewed, discussed and changes proposed? It could show how we might get to a better process for managing R documentation. Cheers, JN

R Wiki and R-sig-wikii
...and collaborative documentation writting in Wiki format; or TWiki, a very capable, but rather complex Wiki engine used in many big companies). The Web site http://www.wikimatrix.org/ is excellent to compare most popular Wiki engines. Using this tool, and after a couple of trials, I settled on DokuWiki: both simple enough (PHP only, plain text files) and powerful (and also completelly customizable/expandable through plugins). Currently, Detlef Steuer decides to set its ancestor R Wiki as read-only to the benefit of the DokuWiki prototype (the idea is to move pages to the new one and fuse the...

DSpam mysql-plugin (was DSpam plugin)
After wrestling with Johannes's original plugin, I had a go at the mysql plugin that Tim wrote, as described here: http://members.plug.org.au/~linuxalien/dokuwiki/projects:dovecot-mysql-dspam-plugin I kept getting "Error: imap dump-capability process killed with signal 11" when attempting to start dovecot with this plugin. I traced the error to line 656 of master-settings.c in the dovecot source, in the 'get_imap_capability' function. I...

doveconf option "-e"
Hi Timo, If I could tell you a little smart wish, I've one for you. ;) Today I'm writing my own configurationdocumentation 'bout Dovecot in my dokuwiki and for documentation purposes I changing some options several times a day. Postfix supports on its own postconf an option -e. So I can set up mostly every configuration-option on the fly. Dovecot's doveconf has no such option. So, I changed the configuration-files and reload my dovecot-daemo...
