inconsistent DNS information, windows domain member issues..
I joined a Windows 10 Pro system to my (still experimental) domain. The
windows system actually hosts DC2 as a VM, and another Windows (Server 2008
R2) at another location hosts DC1 also as a VM. The two locations are
connected via a VPN, both systems run only when needed. The windows system
does not directly use DC2 for DNS but instead talks to a DNS resolver that
delegates the samba Domain to

DO NOT REPLY [Bug 3945] New: add arbitrary error reporting (with --error, perhaps)
...rror reporting (with --error, perhaps)
Product: rsync
Version: 2.6.8
Platform: All
OS/Version: All
Status: NEW
Severity: enhancement
Priority: P3
Component: core
AssignedTo: wayned@samba.org
ReportedBy: dogcow@babymeat.com
QAContact: rsync-qa@samba.org
On occasion, it's useful for a remote host to deny rsync'ing; this is trivially
done with ssh keys that force a particular command to be given. However,
there's no easy way to correctly signal back _why_ the error failed. So, I'm...

Debian Jessie joining AD as member fails with "The object name is not found."
Hi all!
To clarify, it must have been removed from the copy-pasta, but “net ads join -U” did produce a password prompt as expected.
The dig command produced the following:
root at host:~$ dig -t SRV _ldap._tcp.domain.local
; <<>> DiG 9.9.5-9+deb8u6-Debian <<>> -t SRV _ldap._tcp.domain.local
;; global options: +cmd

feature request: single flag to unset ControlPath
While it's real handy to have "ControlMaster auto" to have multiple
sessions get muxed into one, sometimes it's really helpful to _not_
use the same session (e.g. if you want to ssh -2fNR).
It'd be quite nice if there were a flag to tell openssh to not mux
the new connection at all - i.e. what "ssh -o ControlPath=none"
does. (The 'obvious' invocation `ssh
