Full_Name: stephen eglen
Version: 1.0.0
OS: Unix (OSF/1)
Submission from: (NULL) (129.215.238.26)
Hi,
in the documentation `Writing R Extensions', the section 3.6.1 (handling the
effects of garbage collection) has the following typo:
Protecting a SEXP pointer protexts ...
Should that be `protects'?

Bug#123084: r-base: R documentatio search engine unusable with Mozilla 6 (OK with netscape 4.7x) (PR#1202)
As there is nothing Debian-specific in this bug report (and the .deb of the
JVW is not from Debian either), I am forwarding this to R-bugs. My
recollection from recent discussions on the R mailing list is that currently
/no/ browser other than Netscape supports the Java search engine -- is that
correct or was there some Netscape derivative (galeon?) which does?
Maybe the documentation should be

samba+cups: can't cancel jobs
hi!
I need help abaout samba+cups: a printer admin can delete job (from a
windows client) only if he has uid 0, else receive an "Access denied"
message.
Samba log contains:
[2005/07/01 15:02:41, 0] printing/print_cups.c:cups_job_delete(339)
Unable to cancel job 18 - client-error-not-authorized
I think it's a permissions trouble on job in directory spool:

correct me if I am wrong.
That is why I will post my questions here:

[LLVMdev] RFC: Upcoming Build System Changes
Daniel,
I'm just a 42 year old former NeXT and Apple Dev who back in Mechanical
Engineering is excited about OpenCL/OpenGL and all that is with
LLVM/Clang, but I've got to say that even though my plans include
learning Python for various areas of development the last I want to deal
with is a Build system needing it to compile a Compiler Suite.
Autotools is a bag of hurt, always has

[LLVMdev] RFC: Upcoming Build System Changes
Hi all,
As you might have inferred, I'm in the process of working on some changes to the
way LLVM builds. I have outlined a rough proposal below, unless there are any
major objections I will probably start committing stuff next week.
This message may be verbose, if you want the executive summary, skip
to 'What This
Means For Jane "LLVM Developer" Doe' at the bottom.
