Argh! Trouble using string data read from a file

User Manager for Domains
...s for different workstations
(such as log on to the WKST, acces the WKST from network, change sistem
time, etc) but the I get the message "The parameter is incorrect"
whenever I touch the "User rights" button in order to set user rights.
Is this possible with Samba(the official docuentation does not say
whethere it can do so or not) ? If it can be done, what version of
Samba, 'cause I'd prefer to uprade my Samba for the benefit of
centralized management of my workstations ?

Polycom IP500 - problems with multiplesimultaneous calls
I have these very phones and took me a while to figure this out myself.
The phone considers each line registration to be a line with a second
line. So, call line while someone is on a call and another instance
will appear below. That means you only need one registered instance
for the phones to get two incoming calls. If however you want to have a
second registered extension rung if the first

After 2 weeks of trying to configure samba as a member server in a
native AD domain, with winbind+nss+kerberose following the Samba
Collection and (Samba-3 By Exmaple) docuentation, with RedHat AS3,
samba 3.0.9, krb5 1.3.1, where 2 KDC's are Windows 2003 and one is
Windows 2000, and smb-signing has been turned off,...
when a user tries to access a share, they are prompted for a password,
and no passwords seem to work, and I see errors like:

Looking for a set of definitive answers (long)
Question:
We recently moved to a Samba-based file server, which holds mission-
critical data on it (.dbf files used by our Accounting software, etc.)
The goal was to create a file server that had excellent performance while
providing Volume Management, but we felt that something like Veritas was
overkill for our needs.
Design Goals:
- Redundant Hardware
- Manual Failover (this was an
