weird Windows profile creation
It seems weird. On 75% of my machines, it creates accounts as: c:\documents and settings\username on 25% of the machines, it creates them as: c:\docments and settings\username.DOMAINNAME These are fresh machines, so it's unclear to me where this behavior stems from. We're not using roaming profiles. Does anyone have any idea as to why this happens? thanks Chris

Tildes in R docmentation.
I'm getting flummoxed when trying to putting a tilde (``~'') --- as in a formula --- into an R documentation file, or rather in getting one to appear in the *.dvi output that results from converting a *.Rd file. In my *.Rd file I wrote an expression of the form \code{cbind(x,y) ~ z} This shows up in the appropriate way in the plain text help, and in the html help. But if I do R

How to define specific location of tick marks in plot()
...wish to have an x-axis which goes from 40 to 110, with tick marks at 40, 50, 60, ... , How can I accomplish that? The various parameters I have tried changing just seem to be suggestions for an internal definition. I'm sure this is easy, but I'm obviously missing something in the docmentation. Dan Nordlund

SSL encryption with icecast2
Hi there, is it possible to use such encryption like SSL/TLS for authenticating users on a mountpoint? I can't find somethin like that in the docmentation and it would be nice to have such a mechanism like that, because all passwords will be transmitted in PLAIN text. This is not very secure, because anyone can see the usernames and passwords in his sniffer program. Would be pleased if someone helps me. Greetings Frederic Jaeckel -- -----BEG...

Dealing with negative weights
I was adding the calculations for a lower bound to get_sumpart() (DLH has no term independent component) when I realized that the same lower bound will be calculated for each term-docment pair that get_sumpart is called pair which basically reduces efficiency. How do I calculate the lower bound for a term only once and then use it ? -Regards -Aarsh On Fri, Jun 21, 2013 at 4:41 PM, Olly Betts <olly at survex.com> wrote: > On Thu, Jun 20, 2013 at 05:10:30PM +0530, Aarsh S...

Documenting options specific to a package.
...`melvin''. The user can of course change the value of ``melvin'' from its default value by doing, e.g. options(melvin=99) Are there any conventions or standards as to how and where the option ``melvin'' should be documented? It seems somewhat redundant to include docmentation about melvin in the help on all 4 of foo(), bar(), clyde(), and irving(). Thanks for any insights. cheers, Rolf Turner rolf at math.unb.ca

Well, I'll add docmentation. But I think just dropping might not good since they all have host time and it's helpful to know their relative difference in guest. Thanks, Namhyung

Is there any real asterisk documentation ?
Hi, When I started printed out and read the two handbooks and the whitepaper which can be found on the www.digum.com site on the Docmentation page.. I then installed Asterisk and started playing.. anytime I got stuck I asked the questions on the mailing list and most times got the help I needed.. As an example I started with Asterisk about 3 months ago and I am hoping to go live with my system in the next 2 weeks.. Hope that help...

Why I can't set some default printer options for my HP 1015 + CUPS printer ??
Hi, Everyone! I've installed samba + print$ driver + cups successfully on my Debian Box, and I've made a simple page count program for the printed PCL and postscript files, it runs nicesly, but one problem I encountered is that I can't check the "Advanced " option on for the samba printer (I've tried to check them, but it does not take effect), while I can do it well

R package documentation
Hi All, I am asking for some clarification on R package documentation. The Writing R extension manual did not make this clear for me the following: 1. How to document a dataset? I know the file format from the doc, but I cannot figure out what file to put that info in. I keep getting "Undocumented data sets:" errors and so clearly R is not looking where I put these... 2. How to

[klibc:update-dash] dash: parser: Fix old-style command substitution here-document crash
...min" where min is ?he file > attached. I was able to reproduce this bug with the current git version > and the current debian version. > > cheers > project-repo > > <<A > `<<A(` Thanks for the report! This is caused by the recent change to save/restore here-docment list around command substitutions. In doing so we must finish existing here-documents prior to restoring the old here-document list. This is done for new-style command substitutions but not for old-style. This patch fixes it by doing it for both. Reported-by: project-repo <bugs at feusi.co&g...
