[Bug 261] New: AIX capabilities + port-aix.c cleanup
...#39;t setting the AIX capabilities correctly, so I had a look into
fixing this. It looks to me like port-aix.c could be simplified by removing all
setrlimit() calls and instead use the AIX functions setpcred()/setpenv() to set
up the user environment. They are documented in

Please consider applying the following patches so that we can use OpenSSH to run
jobs on large page enabled AIX systems. The patches have been tested on AIX

SAMBA on AIX --> nsswitch.conf?
Hi
I am still trying to run SAMBA on AIX with "security = ads" and I have
a few questions:
- on AIX is no such file as /etc/nsswitch.conf --> Do I have to add
the configuration somewhere else?
- I allways get this "User xy is invalid on this system" if try to map
a share from Windows. What does this mean? Is the user invalid on the
Domain? on AIX? on SAMBA? Is the User

ssh 4.x using aix 5.3 auditing
Im trying to identify how ssh 4.5 interacts with the audit subsystem within AIX 5.3. i get an event when a user logs in, but not when they exit via ssh. i can get it to work with telnet, however. It would seem to me that if an event is captured from the login, that the same would be true for the logout. I've opened a PMR w/IBM, but not getting very much help.
below is an example of my

SAMBA eats up all memory...
Hello,
I am running SAMBA 2.0.7.0 on AIX 4.3.3.0
I have a 1 Tera Byte filesystem on AIX made available to NT and MAC.
There is heavy IO activity on this filesystem and all of a sudden the NT's
and MAC's can't read or write any file on this shared filesystem.
Also AIX is running out of memory whenever this happens and files cannot be
copied onto the said filesystem even at unix

Samba ADS -- works with XP Pro, but not 2000 Pro
I am using Samba with Active Directory. I have successfully joined my
Samba server to the domain D1 ( net ads join -U username@D2.DOMAIN.COM
). I am able to succesfully connect from Windows XP clients ( with no
password ), but not from Windows 2000 ( even when specifying a password
). With w2k, I always get "Failed to verify incoming ticket!".
I think it has something to do with
