[PATCH/RFC v2 0/3] Updates to ACP smart driver
This is 2nd version of the earlier patch featuring a few new features and fixes to the apcsmart driver, following the remarks in: http://www.mail-archive.com/nut-upsdev at lists.alioth.debian.org/msg02294.html Major changes from v1: - handle battery.charge and battery.runtime checks at main.c level - handle "immutable but writable" conflict gracefully at driver level -

[PATCH v1 0/2] Support dropping of capabilities from early userspace.
This patchset applies to klibc mainline. As is it will probably collide with Maximilian's recent patch to rename run-init to switch_root posted last week. To boot an untrusted environment with certain capabilities locked out, we'd like to be able to drop the capabilities up front from early userspace, before we actually transition onto the root volume. This patchset implements this by

Proposed addition to apcsmart driver
...er and discovered that the result of the 'a' > command to the SC1000 UPS, which queries the available commands for > the UPS did not include the ^Z (dec 26) command in the return > string. Thus, the driver did not enable the commands for modifying > the eeprom values. (See the do_capabilities() and getbaseinfo() in > drivers/apcsmart.c.) However, the UPS did accept the ^Z command and > did in fact return the list of eeprom values (capabilities) as it is > documented to do. The short of it is: the SC1000 claims it does not > support the ^Z command, when in reality...

[RFC apcsmart V3 00/18] apcsmart driver updates
Sorry for a bit longer delay than I anticipated, I was stuffed with the work. This is the next iteration of the patch adding some functionality to apcsmart driver, and relying on 'ignorelb' recently added. Follow up from previous thread: http://www.mail-archive.com/nut-upsdev at lists.alioth.debian.org/msg02331.html Main differences is that V3 is split into many small patches, so the

R 2.8.0 is released
I've rolled up R-2.8.0.tar.gz a short while ago. This is a development release which contains a number of new features. Also, a number of mostly minor bugs have been fixed. See the full list of changes below. You can get it (later today) from http://cran.r-project.org/src/base/R-2/R-2.8.0.tar.gz or wait for it to be mirrored at a CRAN site nearer to you. In case of impatience, try

[RFC] Updates to ACP smart driver
This patch introduces a handful of new options, I mentioned earlier in: http://www.mail-archive.com/nut-upsdev at lists.alioth.debian.org/msg02088.html See the large commit message in the follow-up for the details and rationale. I realize it's a bit larger diff - so if it's required I can split it into few smaller ones. Michal Soltys (1): APC smart driver update and new features.

How to get R to compile with PNG support
Dear R devel list, Good morning; I'm with the Sage (http://www.sagemath.org) project. (Some of you might have seen my talk on this at last summer's useR conference). We have some rudimentary support for using R graphics in various cases, which has proved useful to many of our users who want to go back and forth between R and other capabilities within Sage. Unfortunately, the way we
